2024-12-16 | EnragedN3wb | Very useful app. Took a bit of work to get connected the first time but I haven't had any trouble with that since. What I do have an issue with is the app overlapping behind the top status bar & bottom navigation bar making some of the controls literally impossible to use....
2024-11-02 | Maxx Jaeger (40percent) | Absolute godsend of an application. However, Google's increasingly heinous storage restrictions make anything involving files a nightmare... Just recently, they even blocked the Download folder from being used, so send/receive files does not work with default settings. Incredibly disappointed in Google's decisions to cripple this application...
2024-10-31 | Nope Nah | Have the exact same issue as others where the app simply refuses to find any device on my network all of a sudden after it randomly let it pair with my phone. Great app if it wasn't so buggy, the updates haven't done anything to alleviate this problem I been dealing with this issue since July of 2023. If it weren't for this infuriating issue I'd say it's the best remote software for phone to pc on the play store.
2024-10-11 | A | Great for Linux users. Secure integration of your phone and computer is incredibly easy, and has intuitive controls. The copy and paste across devices feature is absolutely amazing. It makes transferring data to something like a Raspberry Pi from a more powerful computer much more simple.
2024-10-06 | Luveh Keraph | Fixed indeed in 1.32.5. Full marks reestablished. Update: With older versions email notifications on my phone would appear on my Linux desktop as well. With the latest version that is no longer the case. The only thing that has changed in my setup (Android and desktop) is the KDE Connect app version. Losing two stars as a result.
2024-10-03 | Dirk Tombaugh | The latest version does break things. I got it working again by turning off wifi and then clearing the application memory and data (settings->Apps->kde connect). This should also clear the pairing info. I then turned off a bunch of plug-ins and set it to NOT trust all networks. I then started fresh. Turn wifi back on and you should be good. I started turning the plugins back on and narrowed it down to these three: Mouse receiver Recieve notifications Recieve remote keypress
2024-10-01 | Michael Freeman | Trying to use KDE Connect on a Linux Mint Cinnamon system, and Pixel 7. The Android app will initially connect to my Linux machine's KDE Connect, but will say "This paired device is not reachable", despite things seeming to work. Then, after less than a minute, Android app will crash. Trying to restart it makes it crash immediately. The only way to get it reconnected is to uninstall it and reinstall it again. Then it works for less than a minute and the cycle repeats. I need something better.
2024-08-18 | John Terpack | This app is a big part of why I switched my laptop to Plasma. If you can get it to work, it will be a great tool. Unfortunately, there's a well-documented, long-running bug that makes it useless for me. Whenever I connect, I can push files from the phone to my laptop, but I can't access the phone from my laptop. And the entire time I'm connected I get a string of error messages scrolling down the laptop screen. Useless for bulk file management.
2024-07-26 | Sqeaky | It takes a little bit of configuring but you can control all kinds of things from your PC on your phone or from your phone on your pc. You can send files you can see alerts from one on the other. It's pretty useful but you probably should be tech savvy if you want to get me real use from it, it's a tool not a product.
2024-07-02 | Sulfrix | Must have for anyone using Linux. I've found a use for almost every function available, which is a rarity for many of these apps. The main issue for me is that a reliable connection is hard to establish when I'm not home, even when my laptop is on the phone's hotspot. Hopefully the Bluetooth support in the change notes can fix this. |
