Bookshelf is not working as it used to. What happened?

Won't stay focused on correct folder. Resets and requires frequent browsing to Books folder. Superb other than this. I keep hoping it gets fixed but nothing yet. 05/08/2024 app updated Apr 30 and now works great for me (Galaxy A35 and. 14)

This plugin no longer supports newer versions of android, and the pop-up telling me this seems to coyly imply that it won't be supported at all anymore, but if I want the functionality I should get premium.
