App summary
Ace Stream is a user-friendly P2P client leveraging the BitTorrent protocol. It offers the simplest way to stream video/audio content from public sources online, allowing users to enjoy it in any media player or on remote devices.
IMPORTANT:
The Ace Stream application does not contain any content or links to content. Users must provide their own content from a local or remote device or independently locate and utilize content that's freely available online. Playback of unlicensed content is not supported and not endorsed by Ace Stream's terms of use
Key Features:
1. Live P2P Broadcasts: Enjoy the ability to view live broadcasts from public sources using cutting-edge P2P technologies (Bittorrent, Ace Stream, WebRTC, IPFS, etc.) with the best quality and stability, rivaling satellite and cable TV.
2. Online Torrent Playback: Stream video and audio online via torrents in their original quality, without waiting for content to download.
3. Support for Various Media Formats: The app integrates a versatile media player (based on LibVLC) with open source code, capable of playing a myriad of video and audio formats, including MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, Ogg, FLAC, TS, M2TS, Wv, and AAC, with no additional codecs required.
4. Streaming to Remote Devices: Play local or network content on TVs and other remote devices using the Ace Cast and Google Cast communication protocols.
Usage Instructions:
When opening links for video and audio content, magnet links, ContentID, or torrents you've downloaded from the web, select "Open with Ace Stream" and choose any player or your remote device where you'd like to stream this content online.
Note:
In this release, the default setting for stream output is set to "auto." This setting activates stream transcoding when playing videos in MKV containers with the AC3 codec on devices and players that don't support this audio codec (such as Apple TV, Chromecast, etc.). This can cause significant delays in playback start-up and responsiveness during rewinding, especially on less powerful devices. Thus, if your specific remote device and chosen player do support the AC3 audio codec, switch the stream output to another format that suits you better.
Important:
For the best comfort and streaming stability when playing content on a remote device, use Ace Cast communication. To use Ace Cast, the Ace Stream app must be installed on both the device broadcasting the content and the remote device receiving the broadcast.
Integration:
Third-party websites and apps can freely utilize this application to enhance and expand their service functionalities via Ace Stream capabilities. Developers are encouraged to utilize the official API, openly accessible here: https://docs.acestream.net/en/developers/
