2024-09-05 | Mike v | I'm assuming it is working properly, but it's never blocked anything I can recall. Biggest issue I have is it's constantly disconnecting on me every 30-45 minutes when using my phone. If pausing more than 20 minutes it locks up, needing a reboot. YouTube and websites are it's issue, it disconnects all the time which makes me reboot Torguard in order to continue what I was researching or watching. Also, it will automatically lock my computer requiring a system reboot if I let it go to idle.
2023-12-26 | Name McNameface | Cool because it still offers port forwarding. Bad because it's ip's are banned from many websites. Will offer you a dedicated ip for the same rate as the monthly subscription. Doesn't accurately report when it's connected or keep itself connected at times. Would be nice if it had failsafes like automatically reconnecting after an interval like Nord does.
2023-09-20 | Anon Ymouse | While the actual connection works great, the app suffers from a critical problem of losing all connectivity when switching to mobile data. Each time I leave my home network, the VPN blocks all traffic/fails to reconnect. I get cut off from emails, music, quick searches, and everything until I manually go in and pause or turn off the VPN. Even if I enable it then, it still often fails to connect. I have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times before I have internet while on mobile networks.
2022-12-04 | The Captain | When it works, it's fine. Recently though, it refuses to auto-connect and when I go to do it manually, it will only give me the login screen. When I try to login, it just spins infinitely. To only way to make it work is to delete all storage data and re-login every time. It will drop connection without warning on the same network as well as any time I change networks. I might as well use a cardboard tube as my VPN; it'd be more reliable and cheaper. Go get Mulvad or another real VPN.
2022-11-29 | Jon Stumpfel | Leaving a review specifically for version 1.60.10.P, which has broken the Quick Access button feature. Since I use the feature constantly, this has proven annoying at best. I tried submitting my logs through the app, but it seems that the Feedback feature only lets you share without actually sending the feedback anywhere. I can't find a way to submit this otherwise, so through review it is I guess. VPN works great, please stop making it harder to use because of poor app implementation.
2021-11-17 | Gabe Krause | The UI gets progressively worse with new app updates. The proximity sorting option is now broken. I'm in the US and for some reason it's telling me that S Africa or New Zealand are faster than anywhere in the Americas. No way to tell if the top of the list is fastest or slowest. But if I filter by region, it shows the farthest cities at the top. Counterintuitive
2021-08-01 | Gmma Tooten | Changing my review to 2 stars because the following keeps happening: Keeps disconnecting. Difficult to restart after being kicked. Doesn't handle network switching well. Update: Still plagued by constant disconnects that don't reconnect. Torguard app just spins. No idea if/when it will reconnect. Super disappointed. Looking for a new vpn provider now. 😟
2021-05-22 | Derp Derpus | EDITED: 5/21/2021 To be clear, if I constantly have to hit the login button to connect to a new IP address, then I have to practically RE-authorize it, since that is the first step to connecting ("Auth")[Note: fixed]. Negative criticism aside, it's nice to see a completely new GUI display. The new update keeps old features (different ports) while adding some new ones (constant connection) along with a choice of OpenVpn network or WireGuard. As far as bargain bin VPNs go, Torguard is decent.
2021-05-12 | Chaser Z | great paid service get a bundle with a streaming IP to avoid being blocked from some streaming Sites like Amazon Prime etc. yes it is possible to set up a VPN for free, but unless you know what you are doing and are up to staying on top of things, its a big pain in the ___. This one just installs devices, is really simple amd not flashy. low RAM usage. has VERY fast VPN servers all over and are much faster than free ones. can even be installed on nice routers covering all traffic. easy & cheap!
2021-03-23 | Nicholas Menard | Great team behind the VPN - I was having some issues with Wiregaurd and their client, and they worked hand in hand with me to determine the error. I love the features such as lan bypass (please know what you are doing), the latest opvpn support, the ability to pin your favorite ips, and more. They are *super* responsive when you have a question, and are super helpful! Purchased the 1 year plan! |
