Thunderbird is a powerful, privacy-focused email app. Effortlessly manage multiple email accounts from one app, with a Unified Inbox option for maximum productivity. Built on open-source technology and supported by a dedicated team of developers alongside a global community of volunteers, Thunderbird never treats your private data as a product. Supported solely by financial contributions from our users, so you never have to see ads mixed in with your emails again.

What you can do

  • Ditch multiple apps and webmail. Use one app, with an optional Unified Inbox, to power through your day.

  • Enjoy a privacy-friendly email client that never collects or sells your personal data. We directly connect you to your email provider. That’s it!

  • Take your privacy to the next level by using OpenPGP email encryption (PGP/MIME) with the “OpenKeychain” app, to encrypt and decrypt your messages.

  • Find your important messages using both local and server-side search.

Absolutely the best email app on Google Play. I switched from Samsung Mail to K9, but didn't like it much. Soon after, Thunderbird by Mozilla came out. Since I use Firefox and trust Mozilla, I gave it a try. For those of you looking for push notifications to sync your emails faster, follow these steps: 1. Tap the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. 2. Tap 'Manage Folders' in the lower left corner. 3. Tap 'Inbox' in the upper left corner. 4. You can set up push notifications in each menu.

Love the app so far, looks really clean. I do however have a few complaints: 1. There is no nested folders in the hierarchy view, it shows as a flat structure. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have. 2. Sent mail doesn't how in my "Sent" folder like it does for every other app I use, this is a big deal, I think. 3. ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶e̶m̶a̶i̶l̶.̶ ̶ Notifications wasn't turned on by default for me.

It took some time but I am finally receiving notifications when receiving new emails while my phone screen is off and on. Not sure what it took to make it work since it took some time after applying the necessary settings. Maybe it takes some time for the app settings to take affect.
