Overview
========
This ever popular game is a great way to help with mathematics too! An old pub favourite, Shut the Box traditionally uses two dice and a wooden playing board with the numbers 1 - 9 on hinges so that each may be flipped down. A turn involves repeatedly rolling the dice and flipping down a number or numbers each roll. The turn ends when no remaining numbers can be flipped at which point the score is calculated. The overriding goal is to flip down all the numbers or Shut The Box thereby achieving the best possible score of zero.

How to Play
===========
The game starts with the dice showing "Roll Dice", touch the dice to roll them and add up the dots facing up on the dice. Choose any combination of numbers that makes up the dice total and touch the number markers to flip them down accordingly.

For example, if you roll a 5 and a 6 on your first roll you would have a total of 11 and may therefore flip down the number markers for:
9 and 2;
8 and 3;
7 and 4;
5 and 6;
8, 2 and 1;
7, 3 and 1;
6, 4 and 1;
6, 3 and 2.

If you accidentally flip down the wrong number simply touch it again during this turn to flip it back up.

Continue to roll the dice and flip number markers down until you either roll a dice total that has no combination of number markers remaining or you have flipped down every number marker and have successfully "Shut The Box"!

Scoring
=======
Digital scoring uses the literal value of the numbers remaining whereas traditional scoring adds together the individual numbers remaining. For example, if 3, 6 and 7 remain your digital score is 367 (three hundred and sixty-seven) whereas your traditional score is 16 (sixteen), the sum of 3+6+7. Of course, shutting the box gives you a score of 0 (zero).

Settings
========
Always use two dice
Usually, when the sum of values left unused equals 6 or less only one dice is thrown. Activate this setting to ignore this rule and continue to use two dice throughout the game.

Apply Filter
Activate this setting to only allow number markers that can actually be used to be flipped, great for when you're feeling worn out! With the filter deactivated you may flip any number marker left unused meaning you have to work that little bit harder!

Use Digital Scoring
Digital scoring uses the literal value of the numbers remaining whereas traditional scoring adds together the individual numbers remaining. For example, if 3, 6 and 7 remain your digital score is 367 (three hundred and sixty-seven) whereas your traditional score is 16 (sixteen), the sum of 3+6+7.

Roll Dice Automatically
Activate this setting to automatically roll the dice after the initial roll. With this feature disabled you have to press the dice each time to roll them.
