2024-11-07 | Abigail Standiford | I have been using Tasker for many years, since the Android 4.4 days. I am glad it is still around today. It and various AutoApps allow me to do things I can't do on other platforms. I have tailored stuff on my Android devices toward my disabilities in ways I take for granted now. But I know it isn't easy to keep up with changes Google makes to various Android versions. Kudos to you! Give it a try and stick with it. Once it clicks, you'll be amazed at the stuff you can do.
2024-11-01 | Nataliia Khotiaintseva | Hi, why does Tasker turn off my Bedtime mode? 3 stars because I still haven't figured out exactly how to use it or why it doesn't always work. Upd: I sent an email to support. Thanks! Upd2: I figured it and I just had to add an exit task to reset my volume back to normal after it is done. There are tons of helpful videos on YouTube. I also added a "not do not disturb" clause so it doesn't interfere with it. The app is the best for developers! It's a smartphone not a dumbphone.
2024-10-17 | Crona | It is tricky to use, and tricker still depending on your device and what works. Has a ton of options to control your phone in whatever way you might want. Many premade tasks to use too. Some might not work because of your phone. For the value, it is super good and does what I got it for very well. ๐
2024-10-05 | Michael | Works good. Im working on a voice assistant for my computer, and there's no official way of controlling smart home devices on pc, so im using this to send requests from my pc to phone to then control google home. So far, so good. I might update to 5 stars if it continues working as I need. (I know i can use android app emulation on my pc, but i like this better.)
2024-09-26 | Sebbie D'Amato | I was looking for an app I loved and used for years on other phones. Phone Schedule. All I needed is to adjust ringer & notification volumes at night, and maybe a few locations based tasks. Tasker is great and very versatile, but not as easy as I was hoping. I consider myself a power user, but this is way more than I want. I'm disappointed there wasn't a trial period, I regret I bought it. I see the value of this app, but it's not for me. If it did what "Phone Schedule" did, I' be happy.
2024-09-17 | Jace | Tasker is a MUST HAVE for anyone wanting to take more control over their phone. I have a handful of tasks setup and they are so helpful. I have one that silences the phone during the time I have any meeting or appointment set on my Google calendar. I never have to worry about my phone ringing in a meeting or doctors office. I also set the volume depending on what WiFi I am connected to so it is not loud at work. Those are just small examples of what this can do. Worth learning!
2024-08-03 | Elizabeth Baker | I was having trouble connecting my phone to my car via Bluetooth and someone recommended this app. I set it up and it immediately worked perfectly. I'm so happy! Now I'm trying to figure out if I can access "Extend Unlock". There's so much to do on this, I don't even know where to start. Whoever said their phone was on Easy Mode before was right!
2024-07-27 | Karol Wilk | "Just wanted sharks with lasers." is the impression you get when you try to use this app. It looks and feels like an code editor for automation, with complex parts like Profiles, Contexts or Scenes you get to configure via phone and keyboard. There is a great opportunity here to make this much easier. Overly complex.
2024-06-03 | A Google user | JUN 2024: Just had another instance when my other automation app could not perform a task. Tasker was successful๐๐ฝ Previous:One of top five apps on my phone. Been using for years (2012) Awesome responsive developer who continues to innovate. The most useful features on my phone are enabled by my custom automation. Uses negligible battery and memory.
2024-05-12 | Drew Sewell | I feel like I've had my phone on simple mode this whole time. Using Tasker, I've been able to easily automate my clock-in proccess for work and other tedious daily actions. The UI is easy to understand, there are guides and resources (both in and outside the app), and there are useful plugins like AutoInput that give you even more options. Iโd recommended this for anyone of any skill level who's interested in customizing their phone! |
