2024-11-26 | Echo Somen | I like this very much. I'm doing the "easy" ones since I don't see well and it takes a lot of time but it's still challenging..I can't imagine what the really hard ones are like. two things I'd like is a way to zoom in on things- it's really small; and that the "delete" key actually goes back 1 square and deletes what you just typed. once the puzzle starts to get filled, the ",delete" just jumps yo the next clue which could be way on the other side. so far, best I've played! no clutter. FUN!!
2024-11-25 | Brendan Frost | Best crossword app I've found yet. Tons of puzzles from tons of authors and lots of variety of difficulty and style. Good filters and can search by author--tho (for the devs, just a thought) would like if it saved and retained your author search and keeps that state, i.e. just shows selected authors, until you change it, like it does for difficulty and other filters. While 25 bucks is extremely steep for pro, the ads are not intrusive. And for the amount of puzzles it is worth anyway.
2024-11-24 | Mazzy Raaymakers | Excellent variety of puzzle difficulties, it is both user-friendly and customizable, and the ads are non-intrusive. I appreciate that ads only play between puzzles and that there is an option to pay a one-time fee to remove them. A rare thing these days. I'd guess that most people who use this are seniors, so I do worry a bit about the ads that are straight-up scams. Most are for other mobile games but I also see ads for investment apps and even one for mail-order ketamine. Be careful.
2024-11-13 | Matthew Gamboa | I'm updating my review after years of using this app. I love this app. There are tons of puzzles of various difficulties and sizes, and they are always adding more. It's easy to use, easy to read, it has a bunch of options to help you out or enhance your gaming style. There aren't many ads, and if you want, the price to get rid of them is pretty affordable.
2024-10-31 | nursewithanosering | So many bundles categorized by author/creator and labeled with their difficulty level. New ones added frequently. Easy to find more puzzles by the people you like and avoid those you don't. Good effects and options, and it saves your progress. Plus, the app is totally free--I don't think I've ever been asked to pay, and I've definitely not had my play restricted. Ads can be annoying, but there's only one at a time and only when you finish or back out of a game.
2024-10-28 | Ashley L. | It's nice. The ads weren't really a bother, but I did end up paying for the ad-free version. I think it was worth it. I noticed a few of the packs are behind a paywall. Mainly stuff at the end. Anyways, this app is a good way to spend some free time. It's probably my favorite crossword app. Edit: Removed a star because it won't let me split screen the app. I paid to remove the ads so there is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be able to.
2024-10-22 | Amanda Smith | Clues make a lot of assumptions of your knowledge of foreign language and affairs. Some clues I cheat to get the answer to and it may be the 4th definition in the dictionary. Clues are often repeated. With that being said, it's the best download I have found when compared to others available. There are no limits on use, easy to get around in, no nonsense. Best of all, no ads break into the play or in between rounds. I use to keep mentally sharp as I have trouble with word recall. Would Recommend
2024-10-14 | Steve Clavers | Good crossword app! Not perfect but 5 stars is the only score that helps the devs. Pros: love the gameplay settings. Lots of crosswords from many different creators. Cons: Scrolling through all the puzzles is a little overwhelming, and it can be hard to find ones you've partially completed. I've basically just been finding puzzles with the best clues/words and then searching for more from the same creator. Some of the puzzles are downright bad, and don't seem to have much thought put into them.
2024-10-13 | Mark Barsalou | Wow. I don't usually write reviews but this app, game, really cool thing is impressive. Very well thought out, executed, easy to use and figure out with some experimentation. And yes, ads at the end of sessions instead of interrupting, AND I've caught myself paying attention as they're not ridiculous. Well done, I'm grateful, THANK YOU!! 😃
2024-10-13 | Charles Lee | One of the best crosswords ive played. Some of the puzzles seem to belong at a higher level, but its probably just me. I wish you could make it so the game i just finished would stay up longer so i could review words i had to get help with. Otherwise an excellant game, i have recommended it to several others. |
