2024-12-03 | Ellis Spring | app too glitchy. have tried on iPhone X and 2 Android phones 2023 models and a 2022 model Android tablet. all 4 devices glitch and won't load content. this issue ongoing randomly all year. cancelled subscription and will not use again. too much to pay for the poor performance. it does have an awesome selection and some podcasts and shows aren't available elsewhere so I will lose them.
2024-11-04 | kawaii nicole | I found the app clunky to use. When I tried to listen to the next episode in a podcast, it kept looping to the first. Frustrating.
2024-07-19 | Ketroc Forotdds | Previous breaking issue was fixed. (Good job devs!) Overall, nice app. It's a basic app, but I like its fiction podcast focus and the ability to continue where you left off in a series... so exactly what I need. Downside is the UI isnt organized as clearly/optimally as it could be, and it look is a bit amateurish.
2024-06-26 | Craig Byykkonen | App is clunky and problematic. Loads slow, sometimes just pauses randomly, and just skips episodes. Terrible tags on podcasts. So many 1 episode or 1min long episode podcasts trying to get you to buy somewhere else. The upgraded version is a joke. Maybe 50 extra podcasts, a probably only a few you would also want to listen to in the first place. Not ad free either.
2024-01-19 | Hunter Kessler | I am in love, nearly obsessed with audio fiction. For almost 10 years I've scoured the web to find new shows. I've always wanted a hub like this to support and enjoy the amazing works so many creators have made. I want this app to succeed but there's bugs to be fixed. For example, I've been trying to subscribe with monthly payments but the link doesn't work. Please keep up the hard work and fix the link so I can support the cause!
2023-12-06 | Bradley Bridgens | I've enjoyed listening to podcasts on the app, yet I've found that it's added shows to my library to I never added myself. And even after a couple of seemingly big updates, the app is still really buggy, as it keeps freezing and quitting spontaneously. There needs to be some serious work done to Apollo. I feel that it could let a lot of creators down if listeners aren't able to enjoy their content without the app constantly failing on them.
2022-11-24 | Kyle Templeton | I really want to like apollo but the app is just miserable to use. Its slow as hell, buggy, and poorly laid out. Not to mention a recent update made all of this WORSE and now I can't even get episodes I bought to actually play. It's so frustrating because i want to support fiction podcasts but this is making them look bad.
2022-10-13 | Tara Zuber | I love the idea and I'm glad that so many creators seem to be onboard. That said, the app does take a while to load pages. I don't mind the wait. My issue is my inability to log in. I let Google suggest a password expecting I could autofill, but the app doesn't allow autofills. I tried to reset my password, but the app won't show the keyboard for longer than a millisecond so I cannot type in my email to change the password to something easier to remember. I look forward to greater functionality!
2022-10-13 | Rob | While the app contains a fair amount of fictional podcasts and I enjoy the layout(grouping by seasons and having genre tags), the app is bogged down by user interface. While using the search function, it would freeze and I'd have to force quit the app. When clicking on a podcast it can be slow to load a page. For quality of life, it wouldn't be a bad thing to also see things like being able to organize shows so that it's alphabetical or you can group by genre or your custom groups.
2022-09-24 | steve palermo | Can't control app from wireless headphones, if audio is paused for the app, after closing another app I used such as TikTok or videos on Facebook, Apollo starts playing the paused podcast I was listening, even after clearing running apps. Update, every time I got done with a call, even if I wasn't using the app, audio would start playing. |
