2024-06-22 | Michael Vondung | Full screen ads with video and sound. Previous paid app of the same kind (Champion Go) abandoned.
2024-04-23 | M.J. | This is an excellent learning tool and a fun pass time; would give it a 5 ð rating were it not for the requiring a monthly membership for even an offline (no ads) version; I understand the fee to access online (cover their overhead) & my spyware app says there sharing our very private data (last name, location, ph#, ..., even screen orientationð€· with Google and other similar data with Amazon & 2 other companies I didn't recognize) something like 108 times in 6hr after I first checked it.
2024-03-29 | Hong Law | Great App for learning Go. It has hints and undos if necessary and AIs ranging from easy to hard. You can also play it offline with your friend. I'd really recommend it. (The features stated above are free)
2023-11-19 | Pavle Ivanov | most fun go app ove found for beginner-intermediates (ddk-sdk). cant comment on ai quality above that. visually nice and has choice of input controls, plus quality of life features like take-backsies. avoids some of the dismal modern ai strategies and offers classic games if you want them. would like to get rid of the ads, and customise my board and ui.
2023-11-17 | Fernando Gonzalez | Devs are too greedy, So already paid the full price of the app years ago and still there are ads!! And still an extra premium monthy service?? (As reference the entry level price tag is higher than many games out there, like any of the Square's Final Fantasy series). The game has decent features on the positive side.
2022-09-21 | AetheralMeowstic | Doesn't support phones with screens that have anything larger than a 4:3 sapect ratio. News flash: literally no modern Android phone has a 4:3 aspect ratio. 16:9 in the minimum aspect ratio of modern Android phones. Will not reinstall until the app supports modern aspect ratios.
2022-06-21 | Oren Hammerquist | The ability to play online, against the AI, and even when you don't have internet are all excellent features, but the ability to review games is key. You can even undo x moves against the AI and try a new approach. I will probably buy the premium edition soon.
2021-12-20 | Matthew Spach | It's an absolute garbage game. The game itself is fine. But the heavy load of ineascapable advertisements after every single game make it very hard to play. Even if you exit the app and come back, there is still 1-2 ads to watch before you can resume gameplay. If it were $2.50 to simply buy the game and skip the ads, id do it in a heartbeat. But $2.50/ month is an absolute rip off. The AI is not the best for a GO sim, but for a phone app it's pretty fun. Wish they could solve the ad problem.
2021-11-28 | Steffan South | Great app. Fun to play. It gets the 4 instead of 5 because of the ads inbetween games. Maybe the other one doesn't have that. Tempted to spend the money and get it, but id be ticked if the ads were still there.
2021-11-23 | Malcolm Kotwal | I'm just learning to play Go as an absolute beginner, and this is a fantastic training tool. I really like the ability to adjust the difficulty/handicap for the VS Computer games. |
