2024-10-01 | Winyela Ceta | All of the Hungry Hearts Diner games are top tier. The stories are beautiful and the game is so fun. I think the mechanics of 2 are my favorite but the stories of all of them are amazing. I hope there's more to come! They're one of the few games I actually finish and I really appreciate that they have real endings. It just makes things feel complete. I wouldn't mind having more stuff to buy, I felt like I had a lot of extra gold. Thank you to creator(s)!! PS. It's worth it to buy the ad free :)
2024-07-30 | Lynne Picquet | I've always been a fan of Hungry Hearts since I've first played the game! The stories are always heartwarming, and it's the same gameplay! I'm not a fan of the ads randomly while playing (not by clicking the TV), but I understand why they are there. Every game in this series is beautifully made with interesting stories that are intertwined! It's an amazing, cozy game!
2024-07-20 | J. Stanley | Fun story; I think I played an older version? I've definitely played 2 or 3 and the candy shop, I think, but some stories were familiar. Love the art and charm. Hate the random ads that pop up just often enough, in the middle of doing something, breaking immersion and enjoyment. I wish the locked menu requirements indicated what they are by hover text; the images are so tiny and greyed out that they can be hard to see. The unlocked items let you click the tiny requirement to cook it faster.
2024-04-14 | Vinny K | Very welcomed third installment in the series. Improves on the second game, drirt dishes are slightly less annoying now. However I think the dialogue screen is the worst in the series, it's at the top and the log is at the bottom, the characters are much smaller and are in a scene but I preferred them bigger, on the bottom, where it's more expressive.
2024-03-05 | Cathie Vishnevsky | Wonderful stories and a fun game. I really liked the addition of the delivery bike, it was fun trying to figure out the orders! The only thing I would have liked was an explanation of the Experience button on each of the food items. I never understood what affected that-- it didn't seem to really matter either. Can't wait to play the next one!
2023-10-30 | Shan G | I've loved every game this developer has made so far but this is my first 3 star review. Very cute game and has all the elements I still love, but the ads are way more aggressive than previously. Previous games the ads were always optional if you needed energy or patrons, but now they randomly pop up mid-gameplay. It's enough to turn me off the entire game even though I love it. Edited it back to 4 stars after finishing. It was such a cute story I had to. Still annoyed about the ads though!
2023-08-27 | LeeAnn Smith | It is a very heartwarming anesthetic game. Enjoyed completely collecting all of the recipes. There were times the storyline was predictable, yet I was still excited and emerged to gain the next dialog of the individual characters that ended up binding strangers together in a happy ending tale. Even though it is a game, there were moments where it felt as though I was reading a slice of life manga. If the developers do add more, as suggested on the game, I would be excited to continue playing.
2023-08-18 | Erik Ross (TheCrossRoss) | Very cute and heartwarming story. The game play left much to be desired. It never slowed down too much to be boring but it became clear that later on in the game it would become a conveyor belt for ads. The story and the artstyle saved the game, and some scenes actually managed to make me shed a genuine tear.
2023-08-04 | Akira Hoeing | This one definitely felt like more of an idle game. The story lasted much longer and still has some replayability. I think it's the most balanced one in the series, but the invasive pop in ads are still an issue. Yes you need to make money but you already have passive ads at the bottom. Pop in ads are jarring for a calm idle game.
2023-07-15 | Ghostie | Ive played all the games in this series so far and quality is always great. The stories are heart-warming and the art style is lovely to look at. Definitely worth it to spend for the 2 ad free options imo. 1 thing I wish is for something to use money for after buying the upgrades. You earn quite a lot and cooking doesn't cost that much (which is nice when you're starting out). |
