2024-11-09 | WarrenW | Very good. I use the subscription service, but I find that I save a LOT of links of stuff that I want to go back to, but do not actually go back that often to clean up. There are too many NEW useless links to read every day. This is the closest to the old bookmark saving services that all went out of business a whole ago. I am glad to be paying the subscription price to keep them in business. I would have preferred an EverNote type system without the insane management of that company.
2024-10-23 | RS R | I love it and I subscribe to it, but this is mainly due to the cheap subscription rates ($2-$3 monthly). I would like more intuitive AI sorting of my raindrops, with a hierarchy of categories for the collections. I'd also like to make adding bookmarks a tad simpler and make more data from within the links be available (for instance, video links sorted by length, or by age-appropriateness). Raindrop has robust engagement with the community for feedback and I'm just griping here to gripe lol.
2024-08-21 | A M | One of the worst apps I have ever tried. It initially looked to be intuitive, but it's not. For example, you click on the PDF, it opens, you start to slide your finger over text to highlight, and it doesn't highlight. I tried this on a PDF in Android. And after reading a little bit more about the app, there are some severe privacy concerns. This app claims to be open source but it is absolutely not open source. Best to find a different app.
2024-07-20 | TreesOnTheBeach | Seems like a nice app, but every single file I try to upload says "unsupported file type." I give up. Edit: this just suddenly started working at some point since the last update. Been playing with it all night and seems like a great alternative to Stack. Just wish it had a one-time fee I could pay to buy it. I'm not really a subscription kind of guy. Otherwise, very happy with it now.
2024-05-23 | Kathleen W | The website is perfect! The app currently in beta testing does crash sometimes. I just relogin, restart my browser, then the app, then my phone itself until one of the steps leads to the app working again. It's a bit of a hassle but has fixed the problem every time so far. Even if you suck at organizing the search will find any keywords within the page itself!
2023-12-12 | Elizabeth Baker | I just downloaded this today and have only played with it for an hour or two, but already love it. I was using a different app that became too expensive (and subscription was mandatory). It took a while to find Raindrop, but I'm glad I did. I obsessively curate lists and digital content and I'm anticipating a great experience in that regard.
2023-09-24 | RoxanneTackoor McIntyre | Maybe in time the app will come close to it's web functionality. It's ridiculously limited. I can't see paying for pro miraculously fixing that. That being said, they are hands down the ultimate option out there worth paying for, especially since I can archive anything. Technically it serves me better not to have complete control over editing bookmarks in the app because I'll probably start screwing it up. What it all boils down to is getting my stuff quickly and exquisitely organized.
2023-07-18 | Guy Cutting | I've been looking for Raindrop for years. I was a Diigo user but it was never quite worth it for me to pay the $5/month for a subscription. I liked that Diigo let you do bookmarks, tag, highlighting, and annotation (comments, pdf, etc.). But Raindrop beats Diigo in every category - it has more features, the apps and browser plugin are better, etc. The free Raindrop does everything I need to do, and the paid version is less than $2.50/mo if you need the extra features. Hands down best in class.
2023-06-13 | Barnaby Daniels | Spectacular app. This is the bookmarking and page-saving app that other, larger companies have been unable to produce. It is clean and lightweight. It lets you edit the title of the bookmark (unlike Pocket) and to tag and sort in a way that works for you. After three weeks I bought the premium subscription because I use this constantly and believe in paying for things that are useful. And...because the premium version saves a copy of the page, even if the original disappears. Best wishes, dev!
2023-01-09 | G Gece | This is a brilliant tool to access bookmarks on different devices and platforms. It can save a relatively good copy of the site in "Preview," a handy function. I find it quite problematic, however, that some key features of the app are reserved for paid-subscription -- foremost: the ability to content search bookmarks. One cannot even do a simple "find" in the Preview window -- and this last one can be nothing more than a "artificially imposed" restriction -- hence 4 stars only |
