| 2024-12-03 |  | | Longtime user. Indefinitely feature frozen, but there are still a few bugfix releases a year. Blame bugs on google's shoddy android updates for creating bugs in apps. At the moment, keybase can't seem to open a filepicker, but you can still share-to keybase. It also sometimes forgets how to clear unread markers. The only bad thing that is kinda keybase's fault is the embedded video player, which is just chrome's video player, and it sucks. |

The public web interface for file sharing was quietly decomissioned while the app itself became an unstable mess on Android and the desktop. I used to advocate for Keybase but now it's abandoned. It needs a rebuild and some love. Until it's fixed I uninstalled it. |

So, I'm giving it a neutral score. edit2: I'm bring the score down again. The app now shows a notification badge count and the only way to get rid of it is to enable notifications. I don't want ducking notifications! |

Idk what you did to the app but it needs fixed and the fact it'd gone on this long is beyond pathetic. As a Software engineer if I did that, I wouldn't have a job. |

While typing, text box will not reflect inputs, freeze, then dump everything that was typed, or miss letters / words dump some of the text input. Constantly freezing require hard reset. Please fix this problem! Gone on too long! Developers, fix update version! Great platform overall. Privacy not what I thought it was. All devices connected to Users can be Googled too easily. |

Many folks in my chat's can't type at all or react to messages, it freezes up often and crashes regularly. My company does all of our work on keybase and it's largely unusable right now. Really been hoping that keybase would prioritize keeping this app afloat, even though they've been bought by zoom, but I'm worried the writing is on the wall. Hope I'm wrong. |
