2024-11-30 | Leslie Anonymous | Unusable, click to view anything, and you will get an ad. And they have put the exit X on the left to try to manipulate the user to view the whole ad.
2024-11-21 | Margaret Morris | Doesn't give enough time to read and make selections. I always get cut off before I'm done with last couple words
2024-11-15 | Ed Barnes | It's a wonderful gem 💎, and a good use of time to explore and develop: talent, memory, experience, and quick mental problem solving. Also, it is a very practical device for daily use in keeping those old gray cells working.
2024-10-05 | Chris Matthes | Very lackluster words of the day that youll either already know or will never use, like quarterly to describe a specific position in a sport. Also idk why anyone would use this app more than a couple days with how many annoying and intrusive ads there are. 0/10 garbage app
2024-07-17 | R 2d2 | The quizzes are awesome because they are timed.. so not only are you learning vocabulary you are learning to think & spot the right word quickly. Scored results are immediate & easy to see your percentage as well as the ones wrong have the right answer displayed ..while the words from the quiz are still fresh in your mind. Simple app but very fun & has exactly what is needed to learn words & to see how many you, in fact, do intuitively know.
2024-04-12 | tyler bixler | They work in expressions as well as words. Sometimes, the expressions just seem outlandish, and I'd prefer not to have them in my vocabulary. One example is "Steely-eyed missle man." I'm never going to use that to describe an astronaut or engineer. The only functionality it served was to have a laugh with a couple friends. So I guess if you want some goofy words and expressions, give this a try. But if you want to sincerely expand your vocabulary on a daily basis, you should try a different app.
2023-05-10 | Chouchoute Luxury Chocolates | It's an app with so much potential, I would happily pay a regular subscription if it could be developed further. For example, option to save words from the quiz of the day so that users could learn them, and a higher proportion of words of the day that could be used in an everyday context. This would help improve the user's vocabulary far more than the abundance of quirky, but largely pointless words that won't be put to use. I hope the developers continue to improve the app!
2022-12-11 | Ally Mac | Word of the day updates force you to open app rather than put the word and definition in the notification... Very poor user experience and ultimately I rarely open the notifications. Best bit ia, they include the same repetitive design within the notification as opposed to just some text, so if only the developers could be bothered to utilise this notification space better. All in all, I wish the developers to incur a exponential level of odium for their dismal efforts.
2022-08-04 | signsofabadger | I love checking the widget every day to see the various words of the day. I paid the small price to remove the favorite word limit and I'm glad to have a personal word bank for future use! The only thing that is keeping me from giving this five stars is that I will constantly get a pop-up asking me to take a quiz no matter how many times I cancel it, which is frustrating. Overall, though, glad to have found this app!
2022-08-01 | lelouch yagami | It's brought me to the same lost of words as a week ago for a new word notification. It also seems like the same list of word. There seems to be a short Ad after every word. I can't take a test or us the word Widget. Keeps saying "connection problem". I don't like how the option to remove ads they pop up says "No, I like Ads :/". That's kinda arrogant IMO, like their using it to control their using into not wanting to click the no option... Plenty of better options. Try Orphic and Ultimate facts |
