Insomnia Coach is designed for Veterans, military Servicemembers, and others who are suffering from insomnia. The app is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i) and provides:

This app is based on scientific research about how people can change their behaviors and thoughts to improve their sleep. This app does NOT replace professional care.
Insomnia Coach is designed to be used daily for 5 weeks by following the Training Plan. After that, you can continue using the app to track your sleep and maintain good sleep habits.
Insomnia Coach was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD.

User reviews
I'd prefer if the VA apps followed a unified user experience. Every app is completely different, which is confusing and frustrating. When using the tools such as the breathing tool, I'd like to be able to turn my screen off. When I do, it pauses the audio. I'd also like to be able to adjust the speed. Breathing at someone else's pace is frustrating and not as helpful as it could be, especially when I'm trying to get to sleep. The sleep diary doesn't work. It allows inputs, but will not save.
All my time entries get adjusted by one hour retrospectively. So if I go back into edit the data everything has shifted by+1 hour. Not sure I trust an app that messes with the data. And if it's going to give me a recommended bed time, do I then need to remove an hour?
Can't record a nap when it happens or going to bed when it happens. Sleep diary is only accessible the next day for a nap the day prior or when you went to bed. It's difficult to remember times etc every single day. Sure I can record it somewhere else & transfer it but then what's the point?
