2024-11-28 | MC_ Sea | Used to be able to wake up screen with Bixby button before without root but can't anymore. I checked both the FAQ and used all the advanced setup commands but couldn't find an option. (Yes, I input the commands properly since Bixby + other buttons work even with screen off.) I don't want to b fired for rooting my work phone and can't use power button since plastic trigger fell off Edit 2: That has completely solved my problem. Thank you for all the help troubleshooting. I really appreciate it!
2024-11-16 | Skoonk Boi | Good app for what it's meant for. The only thing is... I got this game pad addition, and I have to re-button map stuff... the only thing is, I can't button map my controls to 'R' or 'right click', and it would be nice if I could do that. I know it's meant for stuff like screenshoting, but it would be nice to have a bit more utility. In short, if you want to button map a remote... find a different app... unless the dev changes it and adds a keyboard to joystick pad mapping...
2024-10-24 | Sean Brandt | Update: @ the dev, thanks for the reply! Will do. (5 stars 😉) The app does what it should - for my application use (reprogram a couple buttons on my Chromecast remote). Which makes me happy and encouraged me to spend $5! I had to dock a star though since it seems I will have to pay for each device (even though same account) I use it on... Since the recover purchase button doesn't seem to work. I have 4 devices I wanted to reprogram and while another $15 is no huge deal, I rarely use those TVs.
2024-10-21 | John Montgomery | Buttons stop working when the screen is black EDIT: I tried to add button mapper to the list of never sleeping apps ( as per dontkillmyapps), but button mapper is not in the list. Edit edit: I reset to default, then gave permission for background usage at the startup screen, rebooted, but alas, "button mapper is still not in the list. Edit edit edit: I sent you an email.
2024-08-24 | Millise Dkrmdi | error: no devices/emulators found Solution: Connect in Photo transfer mode. Connecting in File transfer mode does not work. Reply: Looks like adb only works when phone is connected in Photo transfer mode. I'm using LG G8X. Reply2: I am on Android 12. Can you add Screen Off Long press actions? The one that requires just one-time adb setup. It was there when I was using v3.20 with LG G6 on Android 8.
2024-08-19 | Silent | Years ago, Android (9) made it so that when you press your volume buttons, they only control your media volume. I still can't believe they think the average person wants to control their media volume when they're not even watching anything, instead of the ringer volume, but that's what they did. "Force ringer volume" reverses that, as well puts both media sliders side by side, so that even if you do want to control media, it's right there. And you can change any button to anything.
2024-07-15 | Mac Stiles | Hisense TV w/ Google TV: it remaps satisfactorily, though it didn't recognize a few default app buttons. it messed up my volume buttons. instead of just holding them down to increase/decrease rapidly, I had to press multiple times. it started moving 5 spaces on a single press of the directional buttons, so I couldn't land on an app I wanted to launch. and it completely disabled the OK button at one point so I couldn't select ANYTHING. I had to reboot the TV to reenable that button. too many bugs
2024-06-14 | ano nymo | shizuku/ADB integration much appreciated. app lacks ability/options to *FORCE MAP* hardwired USB Headset Buttons in-call Actions to: a) EndCall and b) toggle Mute/Unmute Headset Mike . I don't see these options on any of the phones/Android versions I own/use... otherwise, despite the all too frequent incremental updates (better/saner release sched for non-showstopper BugFixes), a better than half-way decent app...
2024-05-30 | Idaho Tim | Some people recommend this as a "fix" for the annoying Netflix button on a Nvidia Shield Pro, but it doesn't help much. The only way to get it to work is to enable Alternative Mapping method, but then it randomly hard-crashes the Shield when we use the volume buttons on the remote. Uninstall it and the volume buttons work fine. We have two Shield Pros and it does the same thing on both. (The only button we remapped was Nexflix to do nothing)
2024-02-19 | Nick McCarty | The people that arent rating this app highly are very obviously not setting it up intuitively. Duh, it's not useful to remap the 'single press' volume down function. But let's say the reaped the 'double press' of the volume down key to something else. The oringal volume control is then retwkned, but you've gained instant access to let's say the voice recorder. That speed might allow you to catch some valuable conversation before it's over. That's a very basic example, the apps potential is huge. |
