2024-12-16 | Latest update won't allow my watch to sync with the phone anymore as of 12/14/21. Had this watch for nearly 3 years and never seen this issue. Please put out a fix for your app. Watch is working fine otherwise. Thanks! UPDATE: Started working this morning. Not sure what the deal was. Thanks!
2024-12-12 | The app no longer asks to connect to Bluetooth on the recent version. As part of the sinking sequence I used to have Bluetooth turned off and then let the app prompt me to turn on Bluetooth so I could sync. Of course the reason I have to do it that way has always been because of the same sink issues everyone else reports.
2024-12-08 | Works for the most part. It inconsistently syncs with the polar beat app, which I prefer to use with my h10 monitor and occasionally needs to be synced twice with my vantage m watch to get all the info. Update: Lately gets stuck on the personal info screen and I'm unable to go back or forward when pressing continue. I've reinstalled the app and that fixes it temporarily.
2024-12-07 | Lately I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time, in oder to upload a workout. Months later I'm still reinstalling the app every time I need to upload a workout. Lately I've been using an old phone which still has an old original app installed, it always prompts me to update. However if I leave it as is I can easily download my workout.
2024-12-05 | The sync function is a total cluster. Customer service is even worse. I dropped the cash on their latest greatest watch. The watch will go weeks without a sync issue and then "bam" "unable to connect". After resetting the watch, uninstalling the app, reinstalling, the pairing function gives you a fraction of a second to respond on your watch and your phone. I have contacted CS with steps I have taken. All you get back is a chat bot response listing all the steps I have already taken.
2024-12-05 | I can pair the sensor with any of my devices but none of them can update the sensor. Samsung S23, S9 tablet and iPhone 14 all queue the update and run for >5 min before returning to the update screen like nothing happened. Support articles have been followed, location services enabled, etc. but I still can't use the sensor after fussing with it for 3 days. Sensor is too light to even be a decent paper weight...
2024-11-26 | I originally just wanted the heart rate monitor chest strap that boasts continuous heart rate, but it doesn't let you keep track of that because you don't get an activity tab in your app unless you have a mf watch. I now have a watch, and I'm sick of seeing the -14° on my watch when winter only started because it won't save my imperial preferences! Yes, I've tried saving every which way possible, but even Justin Timberlake couldn't keep this thing N Sync. Pull it together, polar.
2024-11-20 | I am no longer able to use this app. Data just doesn't load. I've tried logging out and back in again, clearing my app cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my phone. None of these steps work beyond allowing a single sync. After that one time, the app fails again. There is also no way to contact Polar app support. The provided link (below) gives no way to submit feedback.
2024-11-19 | It has become progressively difficult to sync over time. Most of the time my watch (v800) fails to connect to the phone, when it does connect it fails to connect to the app. I have to delete the pairing and re-pair for the sync to start. I found that it worked better when I was at least 10m away from my phone but even that has stopped working. Endless 'connecting to app'.
2024-11-15 | Previously the polar app linked with Google fit. Now the data from polar flow is not synced correctly. It just shows as other workout as opposed to the workout you are doing and Google fit. It does not seem like the app was tested or the apis are tested to make sure that it sends the correct data to health connect. The issue that the polar sense doesn't broadcast its heart rate and this is making me move away from polar and I'll probably go to a different heart rate/ fitness app. |
