This has been my favorite killer sodoku app for years, but hot damn have the ads gotten insane. They are so long now, and I get double the amount I used to between games. Only way to stop them is with a subscription. If it was a single purchase, I'd have bought it already. Now I'm looking for a different sudoku game that does, because damn. I play this to destress, not to get more frustrated.

Overall it is a clean sudoku game. I'm slightly irked by the achievements descriptions being cut off. Why give it a name if you can't see it? I'm slightly irked that the achievements don't update unless you close the game. Those I can excuse. What I can't excuse it the constant demand after every dang level wanting me to turn on notifications. I'm taking 2 stars just for that... maybe 3 if it doesn't get fixed.

Hides the status bar including the clock. This makes tracking how long you have been playing difficult. Constantly asks for notification permissions when you disallow them in phone settings and it does not allow you to exit the popup (no 'X' button and touching elsewhere doesn't dismiss). The back button works to dismiss, but is hidden by the app.

Killer sodoku is highly addictive and a great way to keep yourself sharp mentally while honing your attention to detail. The ads are not nearly as annoying as most games and only pop up in between games. They don't interrupt during, which is a plus. The battle mode is my favorite i just wish you had the option to battle friends or people by choice. Overall very good app!

Battle mode starts out fantastic. You can play live against other people. As you get faster however, you start to figure out a couple of things. First, a percentage of the time you play AI instead of a person. They do this to possibly ascertain your playing style and your skill level to better suit you to an opponent, but they also do it to manage your win/loss record and to use up tokens, to get you to watch more ads and/or pay for tokens. They also slow your play to let others win.

Great Game, Too many Ads. Need to get through ads with double prompts before the game, same after the game, and if you are getting rewards, then AGAIN. Has gotten even worse as many ads now require 2 or 3 separate click on often hidden arrows to get out of ads. Still love the basic game, but am considering quitting even though I have lots of free hints and years of usage. Sigh.

I love this game. My only issue is the ads. I expect ads in a free game, but the placement of them is bad. I don't mind them between levels, but I don't want them interrupting in the middle of a puzzle. I loss my spot on the puzzle or my thoughts on what I was about to do. It's extremely annoying on expert levels when it takes so long to find my next answer and then BAM, another ad. sometimes it's several ads before I can find my next move. I'd give it 5 stars if ads were kept between levels.

I love Sudoku. Unfortunately this game, just like so many others, has too many ads. I should not have to watch an ad after playing a level, then see my results, pick next level and be subjected to another ad before I can play that level. Maybe if everyone and their mommas didn't create the exact games and just made one good game, they wouldn't have to use ads as an excuse keeping it free.

I've been playing this game for 2 or 3 years now and it is my absolute favorite! I personally only play the expert level, so the monthly challenges aren't my thing because most of the challenges are too easy. Still, I love this game. I wish they had more boards for the expert level because, after playing for as long as I have, I recognize most of the boards and remember a few of the answers.

I always ran backward from Sudoku because I thought it was too difficult. Now, with this game, I love it. I'm not the best or the fastest, but I love the challenge! Update Mar 2024: OK, so I did love this game, NOW SO MANY ADS it has become almost unbearable!!! Took away stars because of it. Sorry, Dudes, may have to uninstall if I find another with fewer interruptions.
