2024-11-26 | Joseph Winton | Buyer beware, I had a cyber goes subscription for quite a while, when it expired I renewed on here not realizing that this is only for Android apps. There's no way to activate the regular version on my laptop. If you only use Android devices for everything, that's fine but if you use anything else you'll have to have two subscriptions. Or get your subscription somewhere else and then activate the Android subscription which works fine. But if you buy it from Google you're stuck with google.
2024-10-17 | Jack Steil | App doesn't work. When connected, my messages don't download. Social media apps don't load. Even games won't run correctly. It's basically useless because I constantly have to turn it off to use any of my phone's features when it's connected. I have followed the steps listed in the app to supposedly remedy the issue many, many times but it never fixes the problem. Been trying to use this app over a year now.
2024-05-01 | Jason M | I purchased a 2 year deal to use a UK VPN in the USA. Things started off well, but for some reason the speed dropped significantly to the point that's it's now unusable. I tried tweaking the settings mentioned online, but still not working. And of course there is no way of contacting them. I've blown $50 on a substandard VPN. I've messaged them and not heard anything back. Stay clear, you'll be better off going elsewhere. I'll stick to Surfshark.
2024-04-23 | Jeff Nielson | CyberGhost worked well for me at first. On the windows version, I started getting "always on top" ads. They would interrupt anything I was doing and make me interact with the ad before I could do anything else. This is with a 2 year pre-paid subscription. I contacted support and told them I didn't want ads. They said they can't remove them, so I requested a refund on unused time (I was only 4 months into my subscription). They refused a partial refund and cancelled my account. Not happy.
2024-01-14 | Jimmy T Loucks (Lord) | I've had cyberghost for about a year now with a year left on my subscription. Honestly it's been... decent. No real issues that would warrant a negative review. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because 1: 7 devices is simply not enough. I would like AT LEAST 10 at the minimum. I'm in the IT industry and I have 6 computers, 3 tablets and 3 phones not counting my smart TVs game consoles and raspberry pis. 2: It's very difficult to set up cyberghost on Linux. Why? It's been long enough. 🤷
2022-03-21 | Steven Dolfi | I currently have the 3 year subscription. I have been using it for over a year now with no problems. For the past week now this VPN really sucks. Everytime i connect it blocks all my internet. No emails come in or out. No notifications, nothing. I have tried different settings with no luck. The second i disconnect from the VPN all my notifications from all my apps and email start to come flooding in. When i try to go to google with the VPN turned on it says internet connection blocked. HELP!!!!
2021-08-30 | J V (Big_J_Nasty) | Cons- 1. Latest update removes the option to pick a specific server. This was the only way to connect to a decent server for fast speed. 2. Any change to protocol requires a restart of android to work, and to prevent app freezing. 3. Change server or settings will make the app freeze. 4. MANY Sites including Google don't work at all. I have to disable app to access Google...really? 5. Email won't work. 6. WORST EXPERIENCE OF ANY VPN SERVICE. I should of never left Express VPN. It's flawless.
2021-04-06 | Jay bee | I've never had problems until this last week. None of my apps update, I get no notifications of messages, I get disconnected from my wifi constantly. How ever the problem isn't the wifi. When I turn off the VPN everything works fine. Immediately I get all my notifications at once. Missed calls, texts, Facebook, insta, etc etc.
2021-01-13 | Savage Dorito | Makes you think you can have a free account based on their disclosure about data collection. They profess they collect info based on who is using the free version or not, yet, there's no free version period. Immediately upon signing up (which is data collection) it wants you to pick a plan otherwise you can't use, not even to test. Putting in credit card details is also data collection. So, how trustworthy are they if they lie about it all. Rank them -10 for lies
2020-10-05 | Jeremy | A little disappointed. First, I get packet loss on multiple servers, almost every test of about 6-8 closest servers. Also, and this is a big deal, May cancel, it doesn't provide tunneling for the firestick app to work while firestick is on vpn. Very little control over the server you join or location of server. Speeds are good for the most part if you over look the packet loss, don't think that's a good trade off. |
