I'm a huge fan of Cartographers but this implementation is so buggy as to be unplayable. Button presses are simply not recorded, or only a portion of a button is pressable. This is all the worse because this is the only digital implementation of the game I've seen where placing a land requires pressing each square separately.

I love playing my hard copy of Cartographers and was hoping to be able to play it on my phone with my husband when he's away. From what I have tried, the app only allows you to play alone and not with anyone. The app also includes new score cards that aren't in the base game, which is cool but annoying you can't set it to the base game only when selecting the first play option. So whilst it adds a little, having the freedom to change the settings and making it basic would be appreciated.

Good app. I don't like the reputation you lose at the end. You lose about 80 reputation stars at the end of each game because of the reputation of the scoring cards. This means you lose most of your score. Also it would be nice to have an option to use expansions I have bought the physical copy of in the app without paying again.

Nice, could use some tweaks. The overall scoring/ranking system seems to be messed up - scores aren't accurate (unless there is some other ranking system used, which is unclear) and dates and times of games played seems to be based off a single international date/time and not local to the phone. Not a huge deal, but confusing when it says I played games tomorrow.

Obsessed with this game! As an app and as the original game and expansion maps, it's just a really easy game to understand and play but creates a constant challenge depending on which position the score cards are in and what you end up turning over. And because it saves when you come out of the map, I can see to the kid, the pets or get back to work and then complete it later. Wish you could get the other maps on the app, I'd happily buy those expansions too ;D

Every game the situation comes up where I can draw the shape but the game forces a single square on me as if there's no place to put the card's shape. Also, I've completed some of the badges several times but they stay gray. I'm bummed because I paid for expansion as well. Sucks. Love the box version.

Unfortunately pretty buggy. My previously played games don't ever end up in the highscore area. Clicking on the scoring cards to check their descriptions sometimes ends with the description freezing on my screen and not leaving, making it so I'm unable to click anywhere else or place tiles and I have to close out of the app and start the game over. That said, it is still fun to play just for the sake of playing, but I do wish there was a pass and play version.

I have the tabletop version of Cartographers and I love it! This app is a single player version of the game, and we'll done at that. Intuitive controls and UI, with well done animations, music and sounds. However, I think it's missing the best part of the tabletop experience which is a multiplayer mode. I would personally love to see it so paid users can host (local or online), unpaid users can join games for free.

So far, as brilliant an app as is the board game! Great fun, saves your state if you need to leave mid game, has some trophy challenges, and you can compete with high score against other players; though this can require the expansion on some weeks for full disclosure. Has a list of your scores as well, so you can always work at bettering your own scores. While I do prefer the actual game, this is a great way to play if you don't have access to a sharp pencil and the pads.

Glad they added heroes and undercity. This is a great flip and write game. App is OK but with horrible sfx and a clunky interface. They should get a better UI/UX cause the code and implementations are good but the UX is not and needs non negligible work. I like the different options for challenges but don't really like the red one cause it should be one shot only like in any regular rogue-like run. Overall good app with room for improvement (i.e.: would be great to challenge friend(s) in 1v1).
