| 2024-11-23 |  | | Despicable monetization strategy, taking away basic long-standing features instead of restricting advanced or new ones. Also hopping on the subscription train - and before you reply with some tired old argument about why it's 'necessary', at some point basic features are basically done and their maintenance cost is minimal. |

I don't want to pay for free resources like OpenStreetMap, which is using for most countries Mapy.cz covers. I'm a contributor of OpenStreetMaps and feel ridiculous to pay for using myself efforts. Upd: I am the person who's going out and survey the world, the same way as other OpenStreetMap contributors. |
| 2024-11-09 |  | | This app saved my life. I was hiking the other day, in a place that I have never been before. I underestimated the overall size of the place, and the time. Long story short, it got dark, and I was still in the woods, 2 hours away from my car, in the middle of a state park several dozen acres wide. No water, no food. If it wasn't for this app, I would've have to spend the night in the woods, inside a debris shelter. This app saved me from that or God knows, maybe worse. I recommend it. Thank you |
| 2024-09-28 |  | | Almost perfect terrain maps, I am impressed by the accuracy of the terrain mapping. My only comment would be on the color of the route after importing the .GPX map - the color of your own route is red as are some of the trails, I think there should be an option to choose the color for your own route, but it's not a big problem. I recommend the maps, of course. I can't give less than 5 stars. |

Besides that. Easy to use, sometimes there are good pictures of the places. It has absolutely all shelters by virtue of open street maps. Good servise |
| 2024-09-10 |  | | Yhis app clearly has a lot of potential but it needs to start focusing on places outside the Czech Republic as well. For example, maps of some places look very ugly because they make city names appear very large, which is a problem for places that have many cities close together. There are issues rendering non-Latin letters. Traffic is not supported outside Czechia. The owner also has some "contentious" public views which upon knowing of makes it hard to continue contributing to the maps. |

And it is accurate and thorough everywhere. It increasingly has good features for tourism ideas if you are somewhere you dont know. It has all these usual useful features, like off lines maps, auto route plotting, etc. I love this app!! |

I use it alongside with Locus and OsmMaps, but mapy.cz are usualy the best most detailed and on webapp (browser version) you have quite detailed topography with shadows which looks best . It is just best detailed map for Mountain biking. my favourite. Also worth to mention that the color palette is just perfect. bright but enough contrasty at the same time. perfect visibility on a phone screen or a garmin device. watch etc. |
