2024-11-24 | Aaron Bernard | I'm really not sure how y'all continue to break what should be a super simple app. Every update something is changed that breaks something. This go around, even if I pause or disable a block, it won't matter and still blocks the apps anyways. I now have to continuously delete and recreate block rules due to this. This wasn't a problem before. I have no idea how this extremely vital bug got past QA.
2024-11-19 | Nate B. | App works great, but there is one big flaw. Even with the feature to disable uninstallation of the app enabled, there is still enough time between the initiation of the action and the warning to uninstall it before the warning comes up. The warning would be more effective if the warning came up much faster. Edit:Applock does a much better job at this, so I know it can be fixed. Have your dev team look into it.
2024-10-27 | Alia Eckhardt | This is helping tremendously with my doom scrolling affliction. I can't waste time on my phone anymore. I use my phone for work but it's so easy to play around and get distracted, my productivity has suffered. With AppBlock, I can't do that anymore. Yay! I'm using the free version and some of my Android settings to really kick the fun out of my phone. There are so many other ways to entertain myself/participate with the world, I'm looking forward to more fulfilling ways to spend my time.
2024-10-21 | Audrey Smith | has really changed my phone habits. I feel the withdrawal from social media and it is amazing. forces me to be more productive or have the TV (in the background) on instead of going through shorts or Reals in Insta. I feel comfortable with it because you can disable it and/or delete the app. BUT there's also a setting (that's optional) so you can't delete or disable the app without jumping through many more hoops (which is great if you need even more discipline). Can block websites and apps too!
2024-10-10 | Sean Knutson | Very versatile app blocking tool, especially being able to create different schedules and control the behavior of strict mode. My only complaint is that a couple bugs will allow someone to completely circumvent it with only a little know-how and determination. Overall pretty good, but definitely not perfect.
2024-10-04 | james janas | biggest issue I have is lack of bluetooth support. maybe you want to block apps when not home but allow them only if driving and using car bluetooth. Add bluetooth based blocking with some sort of cool down system we set so you can't just say turn car(or whatever the BT device) back on and sit and use it. also ability to limit/block apps. also keyword blocks there needs to be app support like if I block dogs can't search dogs on youtube via browser but I can in the youtube or reddit etc app
2024-10-04 | Derek Berner | When upgrading my phone, this app prevents copying data and apps from the old phone. It also frequently prevents apps from functioning when they aren't on the block list because it "thinks" they're a distraction, and won't let me change this, and it's always blocking me from adjusting settings that are necessary to use my phone.
2024-09-24 | Natalie S | Horrible! Every time I click a blocked app on autopilot, an ad pops up blaring sound at full volume, even when my phone is in silent mode!! I use this app to block social media distractions specifically at work. However, it has disrupted the silence in my office with extremely loud, unexpected ads that can't be turned off quickly! Instead of helping me avoid trouble, this app has actually gotten me into trouble. This is unacceptable!"
2024-09-24 | Natashja Kelly | I had high hopes for this app, but it is not advanced enough, even in the paid version, to allow for multiple schedules. I wanted to do like 9pm-11:59pm M-F and then like 12am-8pm M, T, Th, F. But they schedules have to all have the same days. You can't add times on different day combinations. I hope they add this then I might try them out again.
2024-09-20 | Matthew Hurst | I paid for the premium version of this app and will change the rating if this is fixed. I have made it so I can only use my phone and messages, while my wife has a pass code to disable the settings on my phone so I can't change anything. Its nearly impenetrable but there is literally a widget that turns on and off the app blocker, without the use of the pincode or opening the blocker or any settings. This completely bypasses the blocker which makes the app useless. There is no way to delete it. |
