2024-12-12 | Macadamia Nut | Fun app adds to the overall positive Zwift experience. A few months ago, I suggested that route elevation profiles be made available in the ZWIFT App to complement the existing route maps. The developers listened and made it happen with 2 profile types: 1) an overall route profile that shows the whole route, and 2) pop-up profiles for each climb that includes gradients. This development deserves MAJOR KUDOS because this allows Zwifters to plan, gauge, and adjust efforts during routes!
2024-11-28 | John Eric Janson | ZC is like having a broken knife in the jungle: it doesn't reach its potential, but anyway, it's still invaluable. It's the app that's most sensitive to low WiFi signal strength, and sometimes it goes flaky for reasons that are not apparent.
2024-11-12 | James Foley | Generally it's great but every now and then the Microsoft tablet version locks up and you loose what you have done. I think that was really a problem with the Surface Pro and not the phone app. It's really great when it all works because you can see exactly what you have done in terms of distance, power and heart rate afterwards. The new routes in Watopia are really great and the Tour of Watopia is always fun and good for your fitness!
2024-10-22 | Francisco Escobedo | Will randomly disconnect from trainer during workouts. Frustrating experience - I expect more for an expensive subscription. Switching to an android tablet ended up working, but I shouldn't have to do that. Closing out the app and restarting the phone didn't resolve the app issues on my mobile device. I don't really have time to trouble shoot a poor connection while mid-workout.....
2024-10-03 | Hollis Potter | Zwift continues to listen to user feedback and provide a great platform. Delighted screenshots now just save to my phone gallery, so I can share while riding. The companion app is pretty much essential when I'm training with Zwift on a tablet (...and/or projector to a garage door.) If I had to nitpick, the HUD font is smaller in the latest version (both companion and main app) - I have to squint if I don't have my glasses on (e.g. while training). HR is the thing I care about most.
2024-09-29 | Phil Gartman | Completely messed up for group rides. One of three things happens and happen quite often during a 1-hour ride. Either I will get booted from the messages screen to the map, I'll get booted from messaging to the home screen with the option of re-entering the game, or I'll get booted to the home screen with no option to re-enter the game. In that case I have to restart the app. after restarting sometimes I will have the option to rejoin the game chat and sometimes I won't. I pay too much for this
2024-08-15 | James McKenzie | There are capabilities in this program that should be moved to the main application. One function is to be able to do a ride on bomb. The application is also missing key features from the main application which should be incorporated to increase value. One is the current standing in the number of XP needed to get to the next level
2024-06-07 | Travis Wing | This app has a problem with freezing up on rides no matter how long on everything like the map, the messages and etc etc.... closing down the app and restarting it doesn't help at all goes right back to freezing up... very dissatisfied with this app right now. Update: I just got the recent update, and the app is still crashing and freezing up in a matter of 15 minutes... what's going on here?!
2024-04-30 | Rider Bill | Running ZC in parallel with Zwift makes the game better. In particular, the companion makes in game messaging easier (compared to typing on an ATV or a laptop keyboard, for example). The event schedule is also more detailed and easier to use in the companion app, compared to the main game. I'm only giving four stars, because trading comments on an activity is difficult. (That's a hint, Zwift. can only see the one line I'm typing on -- hard proofread. Scrolling is very difficult).
2024-03-05 | Joe Mooney | Good, but needs a few kinks ironed out. The "Stop" button is just not registering. At first, I thought maybe my hand was too sweaty but, even after toweling everything off, it still won't register. The other functions do. To stop a ride though, I have to dismount an do it from my computer (of fumble with my wireless keyboard). Hopefully, will be fixed soon. The other "Would like to have" would be to select and start a ride from the companion app. |
