2024-12-12 | Steve Rayden | For more than 2 years, your users have been telling you about this app's Alexa connectivity issues, and you have completely ignored them. I have an Alexa enabled Stanmore II with a Galaxy S21 running Android 14. With a lot of trial and error, I have been able to connect this speaker to my WiFi (tested through Spotify selecting speaker through WiFi) using the Voice app and switching to my SSID from within Voice. Yet, Alexa setup goes directly to SOMETHING WENT WRONG. Fix your garbage app already!
2024-10-12 | kris shimmin | The only thing this app can do is p!ss me off. Its absolutely useless, it won't connect my speaker to Alexa or the WiFi or save any settings. I'm so frustrated with this app.
2024-10-10 | Ben Burton | Needs a desperate update - Obselete for new phones. Changed WiFi and had to reset through the App and wasn't working. After 24hours of investigating and trying get Alexa to work I found that if you have a far older phone/Android system the App will work, this is why it wasn't working through my latest phone. Trying on any new device it will simply not process or work, I can see people have raised with Marshall but no update has been done since summer '23.
2024-07-21 | varun v | Horrible it's just not connecting to alexa and is slow. Even to connect the device with wifi through this app is a slow process with multiple attempts required. For login attempt to alexa it just gives one mesg, something went wrong. Don't but alexa integrated marshall speakers.
2024-05-02 | Elliott 2 | Buyer Beware. Don't buy a Marshall speaker if you intend to use it for Alexa/Google or Spotify. The app is literally broken. Unlike others, I managed to connect to WiFi but I can't connect to Alexa. I sent a message to Marshall and I will update this review if they can fix it but I haven't seen any examples of it working online.
2023-08-07 | Wolfgang A. | This app is complete garbage and the Alexa enabled speaker is the most obnoxious piece of technology I have ever owned. I work from home and this speaker is constantly interrupting meetings with its Alexa bs. The app itself hasn't worked in months and I just uninstalled after giving up on it. Hopefully my last eq settings were good, since I won't be able to adjust them now. Overall pretty annoying bordering on infuriating ownership experience.
2022-12-22 | Matthew Neal | App works flawlessly with connecting Uxbridge Voice. It facilitated a firmware update to There isn't much to the app other than managing the device's equalizer, sound level, firmware, and Alexa account, but that's really all it needs because it connects you to the Alexa app where you can manage the device's "smart home" integration.
2022-12-02 | Félix Adán Pasos | More updates would be appreciated. If you have connectivity issues try these things in your speaker: first press SOURCE+PLAY buttons for 10s for factory reset; keep SOURCE button pressed while selecting WiFi or Bluetooth (whichever causes you issues) to make them noticeable in your phone; leave and exit app (don't just refresh) for an hour if once configured, power off, etc, your speaker isn't showing in the app (this worked for me). Unplugging for a few mins solves random issues too.
2021-11-24 | mondoz75 | No stars for this app. Reason, it simply doesn't connect to wifi regardless of what you do. I've been on to the technical support on numerous to try and resolve this bit to no avail. I have had replacement speakers, again still no joy. All other devices in the house can connect effortlessly. Clearly this is an ongoing issue judging by similar reviews. It's got to the stage now where the helpdesk just ignore customers to avoid the hassle. Despicable service. Zero stars.
2021-09-13 | Drew | According to Marshall support this doesn't work with the Google assistant version only the Alexa. That seems like false advertising to me, it pretty clearly states everywhere that you can use the app to customize the EQ and the LED lights. It's not until you purchase it that they tell you that that's only on the Alexa version. That makes no sense, why set people up for disappointment and not be more upfront in the marketing? |
