I have used this app for piano for about 2 years. It has plenty of fun songs and lessons. I primarily use the app to learn songs, most having various difficulties from barely played to a piano wizard. The note detection using an iPad or phone is generally good. Where this app really shines is when you use MIDI. No more fale positive on notes and you can have some real fun playing a synth on top of the track. I've tried the other apps and stuck with this one.

Love the app, I have learned a lot. But I hate the fact that I know I'm playing the right note, still marks it wrong. I double-check to make sure if my fingers are on the right notes, which they are, and still marks it wrong. I'm trying to 3-star every song, but due to this error I can't. So frustrating

So far, I find this app very user-friendly. I love that I can just keep restarting the same lesson over and over again until I master it. They have made learning the piano fun and engaging, and I can't wait for the next lesson. Even if to just see how exciting the next lesson will be. Perfect for an absolute beginner. You can pay for premium, but this app offers the free version as well!! You go at your own pace and move forward when you are ready. 10/10 would recommend to every beginner.
