Not working, opens "click to match" when devices is nearby but can't do anything

So, there's a work around to the headache that this app can be. I've found that once you NFC ID your label, you need to tap 'switch between apps' (as if you were going to a different open app on your phone), and you'll find another NFC Label app window. Select it, and you'll sometimes see the option to change the label. It shouldn't work this way, but this how I have gotten it to keep working. I'll give them more stars once they fix it.
