2024-11-06 | Caleb Coffin | Okay. Sometimes the app gets stuck and you have to close out and reopen to access messages or to create a lesson. It would also be nice if more details were included on the calendar event created via this app, the calendar event created when you do it through the website has more details. They should at least be consistent. New issue: I can no longer receive msgs from current students on the app. I get an email that I receive one, but no new msgs in app. Have to use mobile web browser... | |

Messages and scheduling screens often won't load without restarting the app, and the app doesn't allow you to apply to jobs with your written templates. Edit: updated my review from one to two stars because the app has consistently more problems, especially with messaging. | |
2024-08-11 | Rob Lein | Frustrating. Takes forever to load messages and often the message count/stats are incorrect. Update 5/2023 app is still frustrating. Update 8/2024.- they clearly refuse to put any money into this app. It's exactly the same as it has always been. I don't even bother using it because it is so slow and frustrating. I recommend anybody just go directly to the website on a browser if you want to read your messages. It's crazy that the company that makes this app is worth over a billion dollars! | |
2024-08-08 | Mike “Molimo728” | Has wonderful features, but important ones don't work: Tells me I have a new message, but doesn't display newly started messages; "sent" messages were never received and I lost a student (they're not in web history); submitting a lesson showed I wrote over 25 words, but kept giving me the error (copied to web application and apparently the count was off). 2024-07-10 | John Reese | Though I was not able to receive the help I needed through tech support, I was able to determine, quite by accident, that an ad-blocker was keeping this app from being able to send notifications. With that feature now working, and with being able to submit lessons, I'm very pleased with the current functionality. However, there is a weird bug where I'll be in a conversation and type out a text, and when I hit send, it just disappears without posting. That can be quite annoying. | |

One time I actually lost a potential client on account of being unable to respond in a timely manner in an area with poor service, in large part due to the unresponsiveness of the app preventing me from making use of the limited connection that I had. Use the website, on mobile or desktop. | |
2024-03-14 | Lauren Pettit | Love the platform of Wyzant and the exposure it's given me as a private tutor. The interfacing of the mobile app could use some work! I haven't been receiving notifications for messages from my students despite giving the app all necessary permissions and checking that the notifications setting is toggled many, many times. This has been an issue for months now and has been affecting my business. Hoping to find a solution soon! | |
2024-02-21 | Paul Lea | Most features are ok. Viewing messages from students is very slow/doesn't work (I have to go to the website to see some of the Student messages in a timely manner). Other parts of the app do not exhibit this delay, so I know it is not my connection. I recommend checking the tool that is used to pull from the database. The submit lesson has been buried and, in my opinion, should be on the dashboard along with schedule lesson. Fix the timezone issues between countries. | |

They fixed the bug I complained about before but now I got an alert that my profile was hidden because I didn't reply to a request within 24 hours. The app stopped alerting me about new students and messages a couple of years ago! I checked the app settings and it's set to alert me, and it's also set to show an alert icon, but none of that happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that doesn't work. I actually WANT NEW CLIENTS! | |
2022-07-08 | Joshua Uhalt | Yet again, this app has gotten even worse since my last review. Aside from my previous issue with the messages, where the inbox takes forever to load, even with great wifi. I was kicked out of the app and can no longer login, even after updating my password. I can sign in and out of the website, but the app has been rendered useless. Please fix! |
