2024-10-08 | Bob | I just can't recommend the game overall. It can be fun at times but gets repetitive quickly and annoying. You can't skip your turn which is probably one of the worst ways I've ever seen difficulty and or strategy be implemented. Enemy archers are annoying and the slowly following them at the end of a battle in a certain pattern so they cannot shoot you is time-consuming and irritating. Fights get repetitive because of the lack of actual meaningful strategy and enemies. Spear throwers.
2022-05-01 | Tyler Jackson | So it's a lot of fun for sure, but it gets old really quick. Once you gain access to the hinterlands, there's really nothing else to do to progress, you just complete tasks for random people you meet at bars and fight the occasional random encounter. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the quests, there's a fair bit of variety in them and there are some fun stories, but it kinda just gets repetitive and old.
2021-08-29 | Mattie (Matt) | Over all, the programmers did a fantastic job in terms of the gameplay and design. I love this game! (Edit below) I also wish the quests were a wee bit more unique. EDIT: I no longer have issues changing the gender of my character. (Thanks for help.) I will say that meeting ♀️ teammates or NPCs at the tavern still seems to be very rare compared to ♂️. This doesn't impact my enjoyment though. Thank you for the care that went into this game. It is exactly up my alley.
2020-07-21 | JB | It's a surprisingly good game, I'm personally not really into 8-bit art styles but this one was the exception. Quite fun, not everyone makes it home safe. The only thing I'd like to see before it gets the full 5 stars is the ability to have a higher maximum party count. I don't know if that would be possible with all the programming of choices and such, but being able to amass small armies is one of my favorite things in games! It also wouldn't hurt as much to lose people, cause I'm a crybaby.
2020-05-07 | DG | It's a good game. I could see some improvements in the future, but it does everything that a good text based rpg should do, and it has intuitive combat. I'd like to be able to build a base. A place to store resources and leave units/mounts so that I may swap out parties. It could also bridge the gap between a hard to reach location. Magic would be fun too. Anything from an aoe caster to having a option to heal, teleport, or enhance units as a supporter class.
2020-04-29 | Rosemary Lynn | just redownloaded this game after getting a new phone, and it's absolutely worth your time. this game has fun and simple customization right from the start, and keeps things interesting with a gameplay system that keeps you thinking but doesn't put you under time constraints. It's a fun game to learn and master, you should check it out! if I sound like I was paid it's just that I really like this game lmao
2020-02-06 | A Google user | I got really addicted to this fairly. It was genuinely fun, my only problems were that a quest to find some papers in a ruin didn't work after many attempts. It limited my jobs and it was frustrating to not achieve something so simple, I did similar tasks but they worked. The real problem, was that it began to feel repetitive, you get a fresh interesting quest every now but small things grew too the same. An underground part(caverns etc) & an oversea(islands etc) exploration would be perfect.
2019-07-10 | A Google user | I really enjoyed it, just skimming most of the text, ignoring all the "buy another round" options at the tavern, the developer's tone regarding localization, etc. but when I encountered the "tribal" opponents all of the dialog was really, intolerably racist and elitist so I deleted. Thank you for a few good hours playing, the battle dynamics and permadeath were cool & the resolve system was exciting and not annoying. but all of the dialog seemed to come from a place of entitlement & it lost me.
2019-06-25 | A Google user | This is a great game, if it were the free version of a much larger game. I've played it through till I got all of the characters to retirement and earned a 100%. Even so it is still great fun to replay again. Eventually you can unlock "A" halberd and convert one archer to a halberder. Unfortunately you can only do this one time. So while you start of will 3 types of units you can get 4 but the 4th one can be obtained only once. Also there is a quest to get ore make sure to do that often.
2019-06-25 | A Google user | This is an extremely good mobile game!!! I would easily pay for it. What you do is start company and roam around fighting people in events and leveling your crew and gaining gold and all that, but there is plenty more and with such a great combat system it's really fun! I would recommend this to just about anyone who loves strategy as it is actually required. |
