2024-10-15 | Michael DeMaria | Decent app for a good AC, except for the fact that it is the brightest, whitest screen of any app that I've ever seen (and it doesn't respect the phone's dark mode) - so, in the middle of the night, which is when I usually turn it on to adjust the AC, it is insanely bright. I'd give this a 5-star rating if it respected my phone's dark mode, or even wasn't such a bright white screen!
2024-09-29 | Anna Brubaker | Worked great for about a year. Then electronics went haywire. Unable to keep it on one setting, can't turn off beeping, it has a mind of its own and does whatever it wants. Due the price the electronics should be much more reliable than this. I give it a 3 only because when it works, it does very well.
2024-08-13 | Jen S | The temperature in the app never changes. It always says it is 74 degrees in the app no matter what the temperature on the actual ac unit reads. Due to this Eco mode doesn't work and my automations reliant on what temperature the room is don't work either. These features used to work fine but they stopped working around the end of June and the beginning of July. I can no longer keep the room at a consistent temp because the app thinks it is always 74
2024-08-03 | Balance Keeper | The window AC I got isn't detecting temp correctly and there's no way to connect an external thermometer in the app or offset the temp to fix it. The automations don't work to turn it on and change it's temp, I just walk into a quiet room with the AC off because it didn't accept the automation made to turn it on and change it's setting.
2024-08-03 | Ashlee Erny | The AC unit is WONDERFUL. It's quieter than my ceiling fan and cools the whole room quickly. The app stopped working correctly a few weeks ago. The room temperature it displays is not accurate, and the ac info differs from the app (like the ac display will show it's on eco mode but the app will say it's on cool mode). I've tried logging out and logging back in, and deleting and redownload the app. No luck. But I still love the ac for its silence and need them to make a 20k BTU version.
2024-07-28 | Alex Riina | I've set up some automations and am disappointed. My goals were to pre-cool my room at night, turn off overnight, and hack my own eco mode to avoid the constant off/on. My time-of-day automations triggered, but skipped many settings (which confused the app) and my temperature-based automations failed to start even with triggers like >65°F (it's 80°F) so the automations haven't been very useful. Not bad as a remote though. FWIW, I think the AC is ok despite thermometer placement and ECO mode.
2024-07-10 | Kendra Walker | Pretty useless app. You can set automatic times for the AC to turn on/off and they rarely ever work whether I'm home or not. Even opening the app to turn the system on or off from the next room over isn't reliable. It will say the machine is on when it isn't. The temperature listed is also always wrong. This was a HUGE disappointment when I tried relying on the unit when I was away from home to keep my pets cool during the heat wave.
2024-06-28 | Oleg K | This app is a LOT easier to use than the one I had to use with my GE, or the one Allen has for its devices, it also doesn't offer stuff to you unlolicited nor tries to sell you anything. If I were to suggest any improvements it would be to let the app sense your location and turn off/turn on the ac when you leave or get close to your home, the automatic function is a bit gimmicky and not very intuitive. Other than that I'm very happy. Thanks for not spamming me!
2024-06-24 | Dee Dee | I bought a Windmill AC in 2022 and loved it. Unfortunately, when I tried to use the app a couple of weeks ago, it keeps crashing, and I wasn't able to use the app at all. So I contacted the company and long story short, Michael sent me a new AC! The new AC works well with the new app. Great customer service and love the air conditioner!
2024-06-18 | Pasha Khromov | The app is not in sync with the AC. The cooling always go well below the target temperature. Current room temperature is rarely updated. Adjusting target temperature does nothing and the AC keeps cooling. The only way out of this situation is to turn off and then on the AC. |
