| 2024-12-02 |  | | Dark mode "only at night" doesn't work correctly nor does it properly sense night time on vehicles with automatic headlights. Update: Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, disconnecting and reconnecting while driving is not a safe or practical solution, nor is pulling over to fix what is fundamentally a software flaw. Waze seems to require regular disconnects to "fix" things and that doesn't seem to be getting better. |

On Android, you can only control it from the car’s screen, which is inconvenient. On Apple devices, you can manage it from both the car screen and your phone, making it more flexible. Waze is great for navigation, but this limitation on Android needs improvement for a better experience. Fix this, and it will be better. |

Waze doesn't show a small window for navigation. On google maps , I can have YT open and google maps running while running navigation at the same time. When I do that, google maps will be in a smaller window while I'm on YT. |

Last week Waze started routing me on weird side roads and long routes showing it as the best route, which in most cases was 20 to 30 minutes longer than my typical route. I understand that some routes my be longer but be faster. But when you add 20 miles and over 20 minutes to my commute it does not help in any way. I can no longer trust Waze to get me to destination that I am not familiar with. |

The recent changes to the voice settings made me want to find a navigation voice, but you can't play a sample of the voice without starting a new route. So you have to play Forrest Gump with the voices until you find a new one you like. Clunky, is an understatement of how underwhelmingly bad this is. |

To avoid traffic, avoid using this app. Previously, when I initially open the app, there's supposedly a list of frequently visited locations. This list never has anything remotely close to frequently. The only thing that went wrong is me trusting the Waze app to work correctly...with Waze, you get what you pay for! |

When there's two locations of a store, voice command sometimes doesn't give you a choice and it usually directs to the wrong one. Freezes on HOV lanes. The new interface is a horror show. Takes longer to calculate, says a place is "closing soon" that's open for 4 more hours. The "Drive Now" thing is intrusive and annoying. Too busy. |
| 2024-11-24 |  | | Love this app for my travels. They keep improving it with more and more features. I love using it under Android Auto, however a recent change has left a bad impression. With latest update, there is now a "Home" quadrant that pops up as one of the zones on the Android Auto that takes up a 1/4 of the screen. It's pointless as the same "Home" button is available right on the Waze app screen. It shows up every time Android Auto connects to the ca, even when I'm already at home. Make it go away! |
| 2024-11-23 |  | | The best navigation app I have used. Of Google maps, Apple maps, and a few others Waze is the only one I actually prefer. SO MANY voices in different languages and gimmicks. So far, the only one I liked was "Kate". Unfortunately, they keep changing the voice tone and the newest version's bad. Sounds vaguely like an AI interpretation of a 13y/o boy finally hitting puberty. It is not pleasant to hear anymore and switches on random words to older versions which is even more jarring/unpleasant. |

The app unnecessarily reroutes at times and even suggests turns in the middle of highways. I used to think my relocation to a more rural area was the issue, but Google Maps works fine and has become my go-to. Maps has improved significantly, offering comparable features with far greater reliability than Waze. |
