2024-11-01 | Miznan Behri | I've been using this app for years with no issues except until today. It's no longer displaying my favorite feeds no matter how many times I tried. Very disappointed.
2023-08-27 | Jugoslav Milutinović | App worked great until couple of days ago, now it says "No RSS feed available", even though I can open the feed in another RSS feed reader, both on Android and on Weekdays. Tried everything (recreating/reinstalling, it doesn't matter). If this issue is to be resolved, app deserves 5 stars.
2023-04-20 | Martin Jespersen | Great app, but needs a little love. I have used this app for years, and no other rss widgets comes close to this one. However it's getting a bit long in the tooth, the code base needs some love to make it play nice with modern Android, and the settings UI could be a little more user friendly with a few tweaks. I wish the developer would find the time to keep this app up to date with modern Android, so we can keep enjoying this great app.
2023-04-08 | Michael Miller | I have used this app for years. But, now it has stopped working. Checked permissions, even reinstalled. I'm sorry to see it go. Edit: Disabled phone's Power Saving feature and now the app is working again. Hurray!
2022-10-07 | Martha Kriftel | Why won't links from the feed open in a browser when tapping on them? Tried setting different default browsers in Android, reinstalling, clearing data and cache, etc. The widget simply does not react to taps on the news headlines. Neither does it react to tapping the refresh button. Automatic refresh works. Why? -- Solution: Go to Apps/RSS Feeder/Battery and under "Optimize Battery usage" DEACTIVATE "RSS feeder". Developer's Feedback not shown by Google Play Store :( Widget top!
2021-12-02 | Andrei Georgescu | Hey, used to work but now is not updating as scheduled. Any fix? (Android 11) Update1: Thanks for your prompt response. I will do so and update my review accordingly, shortly. Update2: So far it appears that after taking off the battery optimization it is updating as scheduled. For now I'll give four stars, looking forward for 100% transparency to match other useful Android 11 widgets.
2021-08-19 | Nerd254 | works great. can customize refresh time (or manually refresh), add multiple feeds (but no separatation), title and description text size, description length, etc just one problem: no images for some reason.
2021-05-15 | Zach Lunsfor | It works with some things but not with others. Tested with feedly, my two links used both work under feedly widgets. With this, only one of the two works. Not sure why the link works with feedly but not rss widget app. Just says "no rss feed available".
2020-03-17 | A Google user | If you are finding that the widget isn't working correctly it may be due to having battery saver turned on. To fix this go to Apps > Choose "All" from drop-down > Select RSS Widget > Battery > Optimise Battery > Unselect "Optimise". This will ensure even with Battery saver on it will continue to function correctly. (Fix definitely works for Android 9)
2020-01-25 | A Google user | It would be nice if there were an option to either not have that top bar (the one with a title and buttons for settings and refresh) or make it transparent. It is rather clunky looking. |
