(Chinese: 成龍; pinyin: Chéng Lóng; born with the name 陳 港 生; pinyin: Chén Gǎngshēng; born in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong, 7 April 1954; age 65 years) is an actor, director, stuntman, producer, actor martial arts actors, comedy actors, screenwriters and singers from Hong Kong. He is one of the famous figures in martial arts (kung fu) from China and a world wide screen actor who is famous for his acrobatic battles, experts in using various kinds of tools found around him as weapons and action actors who have a lot of innovation. He has studied acting since the 1970s, and has performed in no less than 100 films and has received awards on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars and on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As a cultural icon, he has been referenced in various pop songs, cartoons and video games. Besides acting, he is a Cantopop and Mandopop star, and has published no less than 20 albums since 1984 and sings a lot of theme music from the films he plays. In 2008, he, together with Andy Lau, Liu Huan and Emil Chau, sang the farewell song "Hard to Say Goodbye" at the closing ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.


Having encountered a number of failures in adventure in the film industry in his early career and had difficulty finding a substitute role, he eventually emigrated to Canberra, Australia in 1976, where he had studied at Dickson College and worked as a construction worker. His construction worker friend Jack became his supervisor, so he gradually got the nickname as "Little Jack" which was later shortened to "Jackie", which in the end the name "Jackie Chan" was attached to him ever since. In addition, he changed his Chinese name to Fong Si Lung, because his family name was Fong.

In 2010, he collided with Jaden Smith in The Karate Kid, a remake of the original film made in 1984. This is Chan's first American dramatic film. He played the role of Mr. Han, a kung fu master and main person who taught kung fu to Jaden Smith so that he could defend himself from school oppression. His role in The Karate Kid won Jackie Chan win the Favorite Buttkicker award at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in 2011.

In Chan's next film, Shaolin, he plays the temple cook replacing one of his main characters.

His 100th film, 1911, was released on September 26, 2011. Chan was one of the directors, executive producers and main actors in the film. Even though Chan has directed more than ten films in his career, this is his first puertradaraan since Who Am I? in 1998. 1911 premiered in North America on October 14.

His upcoming films include a Chinese-Indian project entitled Kung Fu Yoga, which also stars Sonu Sood and Amyra Dastur. The film also reunited Chan with director Stanley Tong, who directed a number of Chan films in the 1990s.

He started his own production Skiptrace, which was released in 2016.

Chan will star in the film Railroad Tigers, The Foreigner, an English-Chinese production, and the science-fiction film Bleeding Steel.
