new ride app is awful. I won't be using it anymore after 7yrs. I used to track my cardio sessions and now it's a convoluted mess in there. also nothing but trouble with the sensors for heart rate monitor where is the page that has time calories heart rate and the page that shows when you are at max and min there is no ability to customize and it wants precise location for everything. what about the non bike tards and non runners do we matter? UpDate. hearrate wildly innacurate. nothing fixes

Ever since this app had its major update a few months ago, it freezes and locks up all of the time. I've tried clearing storage/cache and reinstalling, issue persists. I'll be an hour into a ride and the app stops and eats all the data. Months later update: the new version is still trash, and now they've inexplicably removed Google Health Connect so this app has lost even more functionality. Finally time to jump to Ride Witt GPS.

Great app. Been using it for years now. I think reminder alarms, workout schedules and goals are needed now. I would love to be able to set a workout target and receive an achievement when met. The biggest downfall I've recently noticed is the software cannot retrieve speed and distance data from the Specialized Mtcu. I was really hoping that would work.

Over the years I've owned my kickr, the app has gradually lost the ability to detect speed, power, and distance of rides. Unplugging and plugging the trainer back in, disconnecting and reconnecting bluetooth doesn't work. It also cannot perform spin-downs anymore. Overall, the app has greatly reduced functionality other than setting resistance.

Erg mode is gone! I'd don't want a subscription I want to use the trainer I paid a small fortune for Developer falsely claims it is still available but there is no screen to control the trainer available without a subscription, only to passively record with no control of trainer. Old version's of the app could do that, but they're removing features already purchased with the trainer itself to try to double-dip you for a subscription.

8/20/2022: Does what it claims to do. Auto uploads to Strava without issue. Configurable display is nice. Frequently stops recording during rides though, which is incredibly frustrating. Imagine you just finished a maximum-effort attempt at a segment, or just finished a new longest ride only to descover that Wahoo stopped recording. It's a little bit heart-breaking. Not a fun experience. 9/1/2024: Auto-pause breaks if you manually pause your workout. Needs patched. Removed 1 star.

Booooooooo update! Refined… Gps plots point on track only when screen is on. So draws straight line from last point to present. So my 2mile loop shows .6 mile trapezoid and thus speeds are all off too. Always allowed is not available in location settings for Wahoo app. Research says it's how the app requests the loc that decides if you can give background access. So still useless.

UX note: I'd like the Record button on the bottom nav to bring me to a screen with the big Start button. What's happening now is that in the parking lot I tap Record and get brought to the Data Source screen where it often takes multiple tries to connect to my sensor. Finally I see Connected and off I ride without remembering I was supposed to close with the X (there's no other visual guide) and then press Start.

I've been using this to track my runs and walks for a couple weeks and love all but one thing, it can't use your phone's pedometer for the cadence when running. I love the ability to analyze sections and interactive graphs. I'm also a huge fan of the customizable alerts which have allowed me to better stay in the right HR zone. Strava and MapMyFitness would use my phone pedometer and it was fairly accurate. Since Wahoo doesn't do it, when it outputs to Strava that data is lost.

I like this app. It has been consistent for me for 8 months aside from some occasional issues where I've had to force stop the app to get all my sensors to connect properly. I don't know if there is a proper channel for suggestions but it would be nice to see more customization in this app. Having used Cadence it would be nice to have more customization and metrics, the ability to add different pages and a white theme background. Map can be inconsistent and difficult to see with black background
