2024-12-16 | Tom Scholl | I use this as a notebook I carry around all day. It is great. The 5th star will come when developers program and add some additional capabilities and software changes specifically for recording, saving and sorting daily activities and thoughts. Perhaps even specialize models for various groups of occupational and social/disability needs.
2024-10-12 | Artis Mules | I've been using this a few days and I'm very pleased with how it works. It doesn't stop and make you restart. It is quick to get started, no waiting for a connection. It continues to listen even when you pull up the keyboard, allowing you to truly dictate. A fast and easy way to take notes or work on a writing project. No glitches - I love it.
2024-10-06 | Subrahmanyam Thuraga | Excellent voice dictation. Much better than Google's "Google Voice typing" on Android and the why is based input into the Google's G board keyboard. Both these keyboards are suitable for a single language set at a time. If multiple languages are enabled the detection methods up and throws rubbish without accurately detecting the language of speech and recognising all text. In Voice Notebook, there is a drop down right on the main screen to select the language. Detection too works far better.
2024-09-14 | Claribel M | I have to make a lot of corrections when I put it Into the word document. Also the cursor moves around while I'm speaking so the sentence becomes out of order and distorted. I have used transcribing apps and none seem to be accurate. I say client and the word that it transcribed is either plant, climb, clint, current. It's terrible. I'm still looking for something more accurate.
2024-09-07 | Ashley Dellinger | By far the best and have told so many people to download. Keeps up when I talk fast and accurately records and has a big space to see what's written so it's easy to edit. Only improvement would be adding ai to detect voice change to say person 1, person 2 and be able to record convo vs only me. Second feature request, add function when I can say "new paragraph" or some way to format longer discussions so it's not giant block of text but I currently then just feed it into ChatGPT to clean it.
2024-05-30 | 1860Sky Gypsy | The advantages are that you can pause for a long time while you think, you can bring up the keyboard to fix mistakes while still recording, and there's a lot of viewing space. Disadvantages are that you have to bring up the volume each time you take it off of pause, when using the keyboard it doesn't automatically capitalize the first letter of the sentence, and sometimes it skips words. The more you use it the better you get at it.
2024-03-29 | Joel N. | Quite nice! I use this app to record instant reminders, shopping and to-do lists. It lets me set an image of my daily to-do list as the background of my phone's lock and/or home screens, which makes flexibly planning my day super-convenient. Another great advantage for me is being able to record significant thoughts that cross my mind occasionally, that in the past used to slip away and be lost for good. A VERY useful, VERY versatile app!
2023-10-10 | April Blymonnen | This app is a sparkly gem. It is logical, simple, highly effective, and cute. It allows cumulative recording sessions without overwriting files, AND it remembers where you were when you last used it and opens there, ready to continue recording. It has a longer tolerance for silence than any other similar app and gives you time to think instead of distracting you by shutting off and having to be manually reset. My requested feature: a search feature that also reveals file lo.cation!
2022-03-31 | Caroline Tupling | Well.. I have tried every app in Play store that CLAIMS to convert voice to text.. this is the ONLY one worth using and IT only works HALF the TIME! It doesn't seem to be able to keep up with the speech( no matter how slow) Sad to say but if Iget it to only convert a paragraph, well that's a paragraph I didn't have to do! It's also FREE!! I CANT TELL YOU HOW many apps require a card just to USE (SEEMS LIKE EVERY NEW APP!) BUT this one does not, so 4 stars for that.. AND there you have it!
2022-02-16 | F M (FunkyMonkey) | Some minor lag just talk slow or take time to enunciate. Better than dragon anywhere I've tried it too dragon anywhere erased my documents after an update. This doesn't. Completely free. Export and backup work easily. Picks up where you left off after each close and reopen. Only drawback is that for long documents you have to manually scroll to top for proofing and vice versa to continue typing. I would pay to have a back to top option and jump to bottom option. |
