Update: issues have been fixed. Huge battery drain. Crashes frequently in the background if I forget to close it immediately after using it. This is ridiculous for an authenticator app. I use Google Authenticator, Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator; none of them have these problems. VIP Access is trash, just like all the other Symantec security products. Broadcom made a terrible decision when they bought Symantec in 2019. Symantec's founders laughed their way to the bank after that deal.

It has been 3 weeks and it won't move from the start up screen. Can't uninstall as it will lose the connection. I have called Fidelity and told them they need to partner with a different authenticator since this one has no support. I received feedback to provide more information. The information is there it will not go beyond the startup screen like every other review that has been left here is saying. They just keep saying turn on notifications That's not going to start the app. The app is stuc

September 2024 this app has become completely inoperable after installing the latest updates... I have cleared cache, force stopped the app, rebooted my phone multiple times, etc. Nothing is making this app work. When launching the app, it stays stuck at the beginning screen with the yellow circle and black check mark. If you delete the app, you lose all of your registered credentials so this is not an option for me to try. Feeling very frustrated

Edit: Latest update from 9/2024 broke ability to use on external screen for flip device. OTP is typically out-of-sync with corporate server, client must be manually stopped and restarted on nearly every usage in order to provision a syncd number. Failed login attempts are common because of timing issues. I will drop this in a heartbeat as soon as my company chooses a different option and will advocate strongly for future business to choose an alternative.

It has worked perfectly fine up until this point. I use it for accessing my work computer while on other networks. It is refusing to launch correctly when I need it for two career changing within company interviews. Essentially the second I need it for something extremely important after using it for two years it fails.

Giant glaring white screen with no dark mode for years now. This is basically a flashlight app with a tiny amount of text. Some of us log into many systems a day and need to leave this open to approve access for long periods of time. You could be saving us loads of battery life with OLED screens, and not blinding us, by simply providing a dark mode. Please? Maybe that will help. :)

Much prefer DUO Mobile. This one takes far too much time to get it to connect and register with financial sites (if at all-as I still cant get Etrade connected)- that it's much faster to simply use text for MFA. It doesn't migrate info between phones, unlike Duo which migrated seamlessly. I use for work (VPN) and it has FB, MS, Coinbase, Twitter, Google etc...I just wish it was accepted at more financial institutions as VIP is too slow, or doesn't connect.

The core functionality of this app is generally well designed and laid out. However I discovered a fairly significant weakness upon getting a new phone: there's no way to transfer the paired apps to a new device or share them across devices. So it was inconvenient to set this up again on the new phone, but it could also mean losing access to your accounts if the device stopped working. Given there are other 2FA code options that do provide this functionality, I can't recommend VIP.

Tried repeatedl but would not work with my account. kept giving an invalid message. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but does not seem like it... very straight forward, I load the app, and enter the codes on my financial intuition website. I enter in the time allotted but can't make it work. Perhaps not all the bugs are worked out. Would lover for it to work. Tried uninstalling and repeating but no go. Sorry.

On first launch, the app displays an error stating that there was a problem registering the app, which I can't get past. The error message offers an email address to message for help. I did so, and included plenty of detail on my configuration. After a week, there has been no response -- not even an auto-reply stating that they received my inquiry. Wasting the user's time by asking them to email nonexistent support just adds insult to injury.
