If I want to look up just the features of a class, I have to jump through a bunch of hoops. When you click on classes, it doesn't just list out the classes. It gives you a search bar. You have to either search for the class or click the search button to search for all of them. And then when it searches, it shows you all of the backgrounds along with classes. If I wanted to look at backgrounds, I would look for backgrounds, not classes. It's way easier to just use 5e.tools in a browser

Exactly as described, this app is a great tool to help with looking up different spells, races, classes, and the like. When searching for what Armors do for your AC, however, or what equipment really does, you're better off searching through what Google itself has to say. Overall, not a bad reference guide for 5e.

Well, not quite sure what I paid for. I can't view my spells on character creation, not anywhere else, no basic weapons, like swords....won't let me multiclass, won't auto level simple stats, most of my selected spells aren't there, every time I try to go back a page, the app crashes without the ability to report the crash. I also thought this was a one time buy, however, character creation is apparently a separate charge from the DM's tools. Not exactly a "complete" reference.

Can't import the downloads to the Complete Reference. It's overall a great idea, but lacks a lot of information. They do allow you to create things, so you could make your own data and they have a download forum, buteven that is lacking a lot of information. They next update they do should include either being able to import or give you everything from the start. Yes, I even paid for everything.

As a reference this is an amazing app. Super easy to download what you need and super easy to make your own stuff online on their website. I would say they need to improve their search a touch, I am not able to easily search for Ritual Spells for example The changes to the character manager have solved every problem that were frustrating to me. If you tired it and gave it up, give it another go! Though ritual spells should be shown as castable even if they are not prepared. Fantastic work!

Fantastic application that makes most aspect of the games simpler and more efficient. I especially appreciate the ability bookmark frequently used operations. Top 3 Benefits: 1. Not carrying a stack of books or searching through multiple PDF's to look up rules/abilities/spells. 2. Easy tracking of your character's status between sessions. 3. Ability to import homebrew files, with clear instructions on the forums on how to make such files. Top 3 Complaints/Wish List Items: 1. Clearly label the source of imported entries. 2. Better pruning of the consolidated database file on the forum, it has numerous duplicate entries. 3. Link the character sheet to some form of game map software for folks using electronic gaming tables. Something like a localized instance of Roll20.

Wonderful idea! The map maker and custom content maker need major updates because they are hard to operate and produce inefficient results. The character maker needs a way to edit the characters content (class, background, race, etc.) just in case. But the idea is great, keep it up!

As a free application it works well for a quick reference guide. The paid portions leave a lot to be desired. The dungeon master's tools seem complete, but the Character Manager is extremely strict and frustrating. Character Manager will not recognize any spells, races, equipment, etc. not listed in the Player Handbook. Spells not listed by the drop-down search can not be added at all, as there is no custom spell entry.

This app seems like a great app and a huge help to beginners. But, unfortunately, it lacks options. There is only so many options to choose from and after paying for both the character creation and dungeon Master's tools I can't help but be disappointed. Even after updating the app with the forums content it's not as thorough as I'd like. Not to mention the lack of activity on the forums themselves. I'd like to see some more effort by the creater in adding content from the books, like domains.

So, having spent a great deal of time with this app, its outstanding- without a doubt the best reference guide on the Play Store. It has a lot of incredibly useful features, from rules and monster stats to random encounters and name generators. It has everything. They also allow the creation of custom content. Some features, like the DM Tools, require a payment, but its totally worth the small fee. If you like to use your tablet or phone for reference, absolutely get it.
