2024-03-19 | Alex | Stuck on the "data collection and use" page. I have to click the continue button multiple times just to get past the welcome page, but then on the very next page I get stuck. No matter how many time I hit "agree and continue" it absolutely will not let me proceed. The button does the little flashy animation to indicate I pressed it but that's it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried restarting my device. Just will not work
2022-12-09 | Ted Goldstein | After activating, I used a number of Apps that ID addresses. Only one failed to identify my location along with other pertinent details. Acting to both encrypt data and hide IP address details would have made this far more useful. That Ubiquity collects user information through this app when it's active is also very telling. For now I'm sticking with a no logs, encrypted VPN.
2022-11-13 | Russell Kuck | It's cool. You may not use it for months at a time. then you remember how to us it. And bam you are into your network just as you are sitting there on your remote network. Even that can get you into trouble forgetting and makeing a router change and kill yours access because you forgot your have remoted in. /rk
2022-06-13 | Oancea Iulian | Excellent combination: AmpliFi equipment with Teleport software. Teleport application running fast and secure. Excellent communication between devices.
2022-05-11 | Ben Wilkins | wish they had a widget or tile to enable/disable the VPN without having to launch the app every time. an auto start would be nice as well. it's missing functionality most von apps have but it works pretty well other than that.
2021-12-08 | Brian S. | Did not initially work. Uninstalled, reboot, still blocks all mobile phone data. Temp solution: Samsung Galaxy s10+, if you press airplane mode, wait, then turn airplane mode off, all while it blocks mobile data and trying to connect VPN, it connects and solves issue. Works GREAT now. Also, Ubiquity support is super helpful, responds, and even after chat support, help desk reached out and forwarded info to engineers.
2021-12-08 | Ely Guess | Needs a better Android TV interface. Hard to tell which button has focus. It is too easy to hit the wrong button on the remote that causes to VPN to disconnect and erase the config. This causes it to ask for another pairing code. I am using chromecast with Google TV.
2021-10-17 | Z Muller | A great feature to have. If you don't have another VPN and want access to your home network this is a great option. Free, and it works well.
2021-04-11 | B McKinlay | Teleport does not support running Silicondust HD HomeRun app outside of home. This was primary reason for purchase and it's an EPIC FAILURE. HD HomeRun launched will inform user you are "not on a local wifi network". I am contemplating returning AmpliFi Alien router.
2021-03-31 | Alicia Sykes | The app is very minimal, yet still somehow buggy. It often disconnects itself, and there is no auto reconnect feature. Because of this it works really poorly on mobile data. I do wish that the Ubiquiti Alien devices could just support WireGuard or OpenVPN, then there would be no need for these half-baked apps, and it could be used on any platform (currently there's no Windows, Linux or MacOS support for Teleport). I ended up using a R Pi, Pritunl and a DO droplet to properly VPN into my home |
