| 2024-11-09 |  | | Booked a hotel through TripAdvisor and during the booking process the app told me there was an error and to tap to try again. I ended up double booking my hotel room. Called TripAdvisor support, I was told don't worry, I'll get refunded. Well I received an email from TA saying they can't refund me due to the hotel's policy. So because of a glitch or bug in this app, I'm out $147 for a room I don't need. Uninstalling and never booking anything through TripAdvisor again. |
| 2024-09-09 |  | | The amount of outdated, inaccurate, and useless information is astounding. The areas I searched were also missing the vast majority of existing businesses and recreation sites. The app also sent several full pages of unsolicited emails! Very irritating, not user-friendly at all! I did find a few existing reviews helpful. The app itself has bugs that kept erasing data I tried to save in my travel plans. When bugs are fixed and the interface is simplified, I will upgrade my rating. Not usable now. |

Update: This app seems to be getting worse and worse instead of better and better. Very glitchy and undependable which is not what you want in an app that you are using to plan a vacation. This app is very frustrating to try to plan a trip on, not user friendly at all. Trip advisor is mostly good for finding place you'd like to go. |

Other establishments are closed for the season. I wish TripAdvisor would update the locations provided on their app. I also noticed several businesses are not represented through the app. So it's hard finding places to eat, shop, stay, or visit. |

It used to be a useful resource when traveling (5 stars!), then it released a new app that was way too buggy to even bother (2 stars, at best). It's kinda sad to see the once great Trip Advisor amount to this. Even now, while adding a new or missing place has gotten better, it still needs a dedicated page to place the new listing's location map pinpointer; and review photos are still posting with incorrect orientation (sideways, upside down). |

I'm confident of the reviews available for new places we'd like to try, partially because I'm a regular TripAdvisor contributor. Very useful app for all our travel needs. That said, as far as leaving reviews for restaurants (mostly what I do), this app needs to add a dining option for take-out and delivery as that is the most common dining option for me in these uncertain times. |

I used to love the hotel and restaurant reviews and also Room Tips for hotels. Now, I cannot even find room tips. The new platform is ridiculously difficult to navigate and the app keeps freezing. Tripadvisor, what a horrible time to change your app....just when people are starting to travel again. If you don't fix your problems, you've lost a user. |

I've used your previous app and recommeded it for years....our go to travel aid for reservations, research, restaurants, etc. It's nothing but frustrating now. | 2021-05-03 |  | | The information in the app is great. The app itself has gone way downhill. It used to allow you to use saved "trips" offline. Not anymore. What is even worse is the APPS connectivity problems. I can be right by a cell tower or wifi router and it can't connect to the internet. I have to sit and push retry too many times to connect This happens on both my mobile phones. It is REALLY annoying and renders the app useless when exploring a city you have researched before going. |
