I have been searching for a really good turn based team RPG with an engaging story line. Heroes of Steel exceeded all of my expectations by a wide margins. The story line is incredibly engaging as well as intricate with a lot of inter character complexity and intrigue. If this game was a novel, it would be hard to put down. Each NPC the party interacts with appear to have deep personality and a fleshed out history. This game's combat mechanics and item customization are both top notch.

Absolutely worth it! Another great title by the Trese brothers. Classic tactical RPG elements, engaging storyline, and although not necessary to enjoy and conclude the game, it offers options to expand your replay value with optional characters for a fee. Great game experince, well done! đź‘Ź

Very solid game. Worth the couple of bucks to buy the full version. Not loot/equipment oriented. Tactics pay off. Choke point and decimate your enemies. Strong storyline, even if it drags a little at times. Highly recommend

A brilliant RPG with turn-based combat, you can hack n slash on 'Easy', have to think five moves ahead of yourself on 'Nightmare', or play any level of tactical combat in between. Each chapter after the free prologue gives you 20-40 hours of gameplay depending on how much you explore the world. The production values are great, the battles are tense and rewarding to get just right, and the depth of character development lets you create the ultimate build for your play style or leaderboard run.

Hands down one of the best dungeron crawlers out there. I thoroughly enjoyed the epic story and tried to discover every angle of it. Highly recommended! Pros: -epic story -challenging combat -autosave every turn -customizable, user-friendly interface -it's THE top down dungeon crawler. what's not to like?! -best value for money Cons: -some actions cause it to drop to desktop (Android 5.1, Samsung Galaxy Core Prime), however the autosave makes it manageable -some fights are tough. I mean TOUGH. I mean you will try and die and reload the autosave 20 times until RNG shows some mercy. it is very rare though. -Accuracy and Defense calculation is confusing

The idea and objective of the game is spot on. Old school D & D type game play. I wish there was a little less dungeon crawler and at least some intellectual puzzles or needs. Foes become harder and tactics/strategies become necessary. Combat is the core of this game yet it lacks obvious concepts, stun, flash, darkness, etc. Overall the game is fun and combat challenging, but it could be so much more, especially with such a great background storyline.

It is a really good rpg style game. I particular like the tactical aspects of the fights - if you try to brute-force it, you will lose. The controls are a bit clunky, so I often make annoying mistakes. There is a lot of material with many large dungeons, but only a few monster types, so it gets a little repetitive. Also bear in mind, only the intro is free, they ask for payment before getting into the meat of the adventure. I think that is totally fair, but worth keeping in mind before starting.

The only way to make this game better would be to add customizable character creation and a more open world with more side quests. The game play is everything I have been looking for in a turn based game. Good tactics. Good story. Character development. High fantasy.

A very decent turn-based RPG. Reminds me of icewind dale :) after playing the prologue for free (great idea to make it free) you're not forced to but a whole game for 4$ but you can buy chapter by chapter for 1$ each (there are 4 chapters), making it this way by developers was just a classy move. I bought the whole package anyway just after finishing prologue, I've no doubt that I will enjoy the whole game. Controls may be more convenient but it's not a big deal. I'm glad to support such game.

This is a quite a hard game even in a normal difficulty setting. Need to be precise on your tactical decision. Once you screw up it game over. You can't control your save game. It automatically overwrites your saved data during the last turn after you die in a battle, you can't cheat it and that is very frustrating! It counts to your death stats. Fortunately I survived but it cost me 3 consecutive death during Boss battle even for the very first time I played it.
