2024-03-09 | Seth Tallman | Played quite a bit of the first one. Really appreciate you adding a suggestion in Assault to continue gaining honor per kill. Got quite far in Battleforce on PC, but got really stuck on a certain long mission. One thing I appreciate in Assault over Battleforce is being able to choose missions and campaigns. But what are sequels if you don't change and innovate? Your games are thoughtful and well put together at a great price. Hope to see more games from you that I'll enjoy.
2024-01-02 | Marshall V | Pros: fun and solid gameplay mechanics generally (most important), high customizability, good UI, easy respecs, decent sound effects Cons: repetitive boring music, the talent system holds back customizability, annoying to directly compare options, a lot of talents and equipment are too similar to each other, the tactical point hold system is kinda meh because it takes too long for reinforcements to rejoin with main party Overall a solid game though 8/10
2023-11-04 | sub hub | This game is next level, offering a number of interesting and unique classes that really shape how you tackle each problem you face. An easy to navigate and utilize main menu where you manage your upgrades and units helps a lot as well. Though the biggest thing I can say, is the decision the game asks you to make a long the way as you interact with the characters is quite nice. Fantastic game would recommend highly
2022-08-28 | AvenValkyr | Awesome! Picked this game up after playing Star Traders: Frontiers. It is pretty interesting going back to a previous time during the xeno wars. This entire franchise is more rich and has quite a following. This game very much stands on its own merits as a tactical turn-based simulator. A deep research pool and character level-ups make sure you have to be specific in how you build your troops and establish your strategy. Absolutely worth the asking price!
2022-06-25 | Shane Hurley | Game on sale and glad i snagd it. I discovered it ran fine under Android8, but had major boot up to landscape bug under my new Android10. Booted up to half of landscape screen and was unable 2 access play button until I used a rotation control app and forced it to run under portrait mode. Took me 24hrs to get it to display proper landscape mode and so far half Trese brothers games need forced landscape mode or autorotating while playing it.
2022-03-11 | Brendan Murray | This is an excellent game with good mechanics and presentation. The writing is actually really good. If you're looking for a 40k style universe this is definitely for you. One thing I really like about it is you can play it for 2-3 hours and really get into it, or just a quick session between classes or whatever and it's equally fun. The turn based system works very well for that I. This case, and the save system is seamless. Great game
2021-11-20 | Samantha | I first played templar battleforce on Steam. Aside from the graphics, I never would have guessed this was originally a mobile game. Deep combat, an interesting world, and game altering decisions in squad development all point to a truly excellent game. The only problem with Templars Battleforce is there isn't a sequel.
2021-10-17 | Stephanie Noell | Dope game. Very similar to xcom with a little less emphasis on cover and no base building. Characters are very customizable to different playstyles and missions can often be tackled from different angles. The only thing I would change so far is something that may very well be fine the way it is. I wish you could respec your requisition points as well... I suppose the inability to do so makes the decision to spend them that much more precious though. Honestly I love it regardless lol.
2021-02-05 | Chris Holman | There are some improvements I would love to see made, such as better graphics and a wider variety of weapons, but the controls are perfect and while the game does force a few decisions on you you can easily change things later with no penalties. For a game made by just two people I have to say this game is wonderful. Well worth the price, and my personal favorite of the series. The whole Star Traders series has a definite Warhammer 40,000 feel, so fans of that universe should check these out.
2021-01-05 | Richard Sloan | True as advertised, and the best tenner you'll spend! What a delight, strategy, tactic, and character development bundled in lite world building and standard wathammer-esque fare... Good and relaxing fun with more than enough construction to keep things moving along. Replaying levels has to wait for NG+, but keep a notepad open to chart your favourite missions on the tanked up replay he second time around. |
