| 2024-11-22 |  | | The app worked to filter out hundreds of spam political text messages. But, it took 10+ seconds every time I opened the app to load, very annoying. I still used it because of how bad I was being spammed. Sadly, it wasn't clear that it was a 30 day trial. After the election I went to delete 400+ messages in the spam folder but it said I had to pay $2 to subscribe. So I subscribed, deleted the messages, unsubscribed and deleted the buggy app. Will use a different spam filter app later. |

You could customize filters by words, links etc. Tried to text someone back today and have to now sign up for a 30 day free trial then have to pay. Nah. Uninstalled. I am so over this pay wall bs. Other people need to stop buying them and companies will have to change. |
| 2024-08-14 |  | | Of the apps I have tried, this one works better than most. There are a some items that are annoying. First, in trying to send a text it pauses for some reason. Which means anything I typed has to be re-entered and interrupts my train of thought. I don't find a way to customize the sound for notifications. It doesn't actually block texts, just throws them into a junk folder. Lastly, when I receive calls I get two pop-ups (this app and phone app). Very confusing. |

The app loads everything INCREDIBLY slowly, refreshes loading more basically whenever I tap on anything in the SMS section. I got this app to help stop spam, but I'm not sure if it's worth the lagging and frustration from having to spend more time trying to see and send texts. Great ideas, but seems like poor execution so far. |

I can't do nothing with none of my stuff in my contacts or phone list, they are not in this app, we think it blocks unwanted texts. It is or it isn't, we are not sure. It needs to interact with American devices. It has stated that my doctors number is international. Wow. |

One of the issues with Android is that for SMS spam blocking, the app needs to be the default app. This means that unless you want to do a lot of default program swaps every time you send a message, you'll be using this app as your SMS app. The devs should focus on making this a decent sms app. When you open it, it needs to default to your messages. Needs to be quick at reading new messages and sending them out. |

I've purchased software from my cell phone carrier service that blocks some calls, the past month the calls were over 30. I've complained and there had been no improvement. I found TM Check from google play app on my android phone. 2 days ago. The app has blocked over 20 calls already! You could set to only allow calls from your contacts. However, you can still see all calls that were blocked. I'm going to cancel my carriers $2.95 plan |
| 2023-08-26 |  | | The user-interface is unusable for me. There is NO dark mode UI. There should be one and it should automatically detect the system UI settings and match them. Also, the fonts are WAY TOO small and if there is a way to change that I couldn't find it. I was totally unable to navigate the app and promptly deleted it. Trend Micro consistently pays little or no attention to usability considerations for the visually impaired. This has been the case for their desktop apps for YEARS. |

Also, the options are quite limited compared to alternatives. There isn't even a dark mode or notification of blocked text or call. The app icon name TM check should be renamed to TM call & text filter for better identification. The worst part is that you have to keep the app open and open it at every start up for it to block calls. |
| 2023-07-07 |  | | No split keyboard option and is grayed out in settings even though all the other texting apps have split keyboards (meaning you turn the phone longway and the keyboard expands across the screen ) this is old school 90s small screen keyboard, was kind of developer forgets to add in the split screen function into a tm protection and texting as default app without a split keyboard!!!!! Total junk , this is the extra I payed premium service to have with trend micro! What a bunch of idiots!!!! |
