Every time there's an update to the app, something gets messed up. Now it's the sync function. My Android device won't sync. I just keep getting a message saying "waiting for Gaia cloud". And that's funny, because the update notes say that the most recent update was to make syncing better. Ever since Outside bought Gaia, there have been a lot of glitches.

The topo base map is excellent. The snap to feature is excellent ( although I do wish there was an option to turn it off some times). I love the route profile analysis. Dropping points and adding pictures is a bit clunky. It is nice there are preloaded symbols that can be used. The scaling of dropped points is huge so they are easy to find, but it would be nice to be able to make them smaller so they don't take over the map. Overall, this is the best and most complete base map I have found!

Using v2024.9 (8722) on Android v16, map overlays get removed from the active display when you change screen orientation each time you start the app. For example, I typically use the Satellite map with the USGS Topo map overlayed at roughly 50% opacity. When I start the app in portrait mode it's as expected but when I change to landscape, the USGS Topo layer gets removed and moved to near the bottom of the list. I have to reset the layer everytime I start the app.
