| 2024-11-22 |  | | This app infiltrates me!! It constantly won't read my camera, and none of the controls work multiple times a day!! I have to keep pressing dead buttons for the tilt for it to finally restart the camera and hope it works by the time it's done but most of the time it fails again shortly after. |
| 2024-11-19 |  | | I see that I'm still being billed for this but not receiving service. I have had a few incidents during times that my subscription was active, like things being stolen from directly in front of the camera, that I have no recordings of. That makes me very angry. I turned off notifications because the app is not good at recognizing the difference between the random movement of plants and such vs the movement of people coming onto my property. So I didn't notice that I wasn't getting recordings😡 |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | Wish the quality was better and video wasn't as glitchy even at low resolution. I have strong internet connection. So, don't understand the glitches and quality degradation in video and pictures. Guess I need to invest un better product or get an upgrade. As far as sporting movement and motion, it does well. Also, I like having sd card storage on camera directly instead of solely depending on cloud storage. |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | This is a HORRIBLE app!!! This is not a replacement for the Kasa app. It doesn't work! Takes forever to connect to camera feeds; times out when accessing camera SD card data; constantly disconnects from devices when they are on a different Wifi. Unreliable app motion notifications. Can't use Alexa controls reliably using skill. I can't think of one thing this app does well! |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | Easy setup! Works great with the C425 Magcam. Easy customization for zone detection, alarms, etc. Detection notification to smartphone was tested and occurred within approximately 5 seconds of detection start. Video captures are easily downloaded to smartphone. I don't need the TAPO Cloud storage (free 30 days). Recommend installing 512GB Micro SD card, and position the C425 camera magnetic mount out of reach of potential theft. UPDATE November 16: Software update of November 8 not good. |
| 2024-11-08 |  | | In some ways I like the Tapo App, (like the easy to use interface and more tools on the screen while watching live!) However, the Kasa Cam App also has some of it's own capabilities that I like better (like how much faster the camera will pan and tilt when using the interface tool !! In conclusion: I guess I would have to give an overall ratings as: Kasa Cam App =8.2/10 ! And the Tapo App =8.8/10 |
| 2024-11-07 |  | | I love the cameras and was very happy with the app. However, after your recent updates, it's almost as if you are deliberately causing inconveniences to line the customer up for another PAY-TO-REMOVE/USE feature. I am extremely annoyed at your constant reminder every 5 minutes that my "viewer" has been running for 5 minutes. It completely Interups my live stream on my home display. It is extremely unnecessary. If you feel the need to implement it, you should at least add a toggle off option. |
| 2024-11-05 |  | | Light-years ahead of Wyze and couldn't be happier that I switched away from them after 5 years of torture. However, there's some issues. The C520WS I have (2) both randomly forget to be at full resolution despite being set that way with max reception. And I'd *REALLY* love a "reboot all" button. More than anything. |
| 2024-11-05 |  | | Software is pretty good, the UI is adequate. When installing use the instructions on the phone. The ones in the package are not as complete. The "AI" is just okay. At night it confuses car headlights and IDs them as people sometimes. For the price, the cameras are hard to beat. |
| 2024-10-29 |  | | Compared to the other two apps I've used for smart lighting, Tapo is intuitive and easy to use. I'm able to set up all the schedules I want to with ease, as well as directly controlling what my lights are doing at any given moment. Govee, by comparison is won't let me set up schedules, and it is really hard to figure out, while Lumiman worked but wasn't super intuitive, and they don't even make the bulbs I was using anymore so I couldn't replace the ones that died after three years. |
