2024-11-27 | PBR Streetgang | Before, on other phones, I could uninstall this app. But with my S20 +, it's uninstallable, which to me is the same as bloatware. Any app that is unable to be uninstalled when it was previously removable sounds the alarm bells. And c'mon boys, "disabling" is not synonymous with removing. Google AND Microsoft...please.
2024-11-24 | Bradley Lawson | Major bugs this many years later I just came back from ios The keyboard works on iOS better than it does on Android when I try to use the speech to text in Discord it crashes I have to hit it 6 to 7 times before it ever works it just keeps crashing over and over again. This keyboard is way better than stock Android keyboards I just wish it would freaking work. It's really time consuming just to try to post important posts that I need to use voice to text for because in a situation I can't text
2024-11-22 | Colin Frank | So annoying. Swiftkey has got to be the best keyboard at getting the words correct when you use the swiping motions like me. But dear lord, it pauses and gets confused so often, thinking you're going to type a single letter. So it often looks like "I'm h headed to sc school". It doesn't save time at all. As annoying as the Samsung keyboard is (because it has no clue what a word even is) it's still much faster.
2024-11-21 | R.E.M. (rmx) | it would be 5* if I could change the size of the keys (mainly in an horizontal orientation) as well as allowing me to create new colors while also selecting a keyboard style. i suppose this should be a 4.5* review, but that's not an option. I've been using it for over a decade now and every time I try a new keyboard app (even google's) I find myself going back to swiftkey almost immediately.
2024-11-20 | Bobby King | Better than googles keyboard. (That was originally posted in 2018) Since then both keyboards have devolved into pure and utter garbage! The first test was to see if it could correctly type Microsoft. It failed! Now I'm on the hunt for a keyboard that might have improved over the last 6 years.
2024-11-19 | Dan Kalafus | The text prediction interface is better than default Android, and way better than Apple's. Every time I use my iPad, I'm reminded of how great SwiftKey is in comparison. It's rare that I end up sending the wrong word with SwiftKey. It's also great to have the choice of tracing words in one touch, though the algorithm occasionally fails there.
2024-11-19 | JaminandShara Mills | It's frustrating, like the corporation keeps making stupid requirements for the devs that just want to make a good app. It forces a feature to move the cursor to the end of a word when you touch it. That could be handy but... it only works about 1/3 of the time so it's just extremely frustrating. Also it needs to replace the whole word when I tap suggestions instead of just the part in front of the cursor, making me have to mess with the cursor more to delete the extra letters.
2024-11-19 | Debra Parish | I hate to say it, but this keyboard is finally going south. It has always been my favorite. Now however, whenever you copy paragraphs, and try to paste or post them, half of the wording goes missing. It's such an inconvenience because you hope that whenever you try to go back and re-copy, you haven't lost the article (etc.,) that you originally copied from. Time to swap for another keyboard, because this is irritating beyond words.
2024-11-18 | Brad G | After a decade of using what was the best keyboard in my opinion it's now time to uninstall thanks to the forced copilot. Don't want it or need it now it's just taking things over and making the keyboard useless. You can't disable it or remove copilot in any way you can only move the icon but then it just shows up with the predictions. Went from incredible to worst keyboard option out there. Was a paid user and supported the original creator but can't and won't support invasive features.
2024-11-17 | Ashley Bryant | I've been using the SwiftKey keyboard for years, and it's great. I like the customization options, so when I get a new phone, I can set up the keyboard exactly how I like it. I can pick the theme, add a number row and arrow keys, and set the key size. The predictions are very good too. They save me a lot of time typing. And you can create an account so what the app has learned about you can follow you to a new device. |
