2024-10-17 | Virender S | Its best game for puzzles. Its minimialstic and not distracting like others. But when we start analising app shows evaluation and stockfish depth and moves in one line which is okay but after "white is winning" there should be evaluation (+2) not stockfish depth that should be in the end
2024-09-28 | Blank Oh | Very happy with the puzzle selection, analysis feature, and accuracy.
2023-09-19 | Agent 187 | Great chess problem (puzzle) app! Great graphics! Most chess apps are kinda ugly colors, pieces and unreadable coordinates. Just like it says: no ads, minimalist-design UI and you can even play games against Stockfish or analyze. Turn-off sound-effects: means you can listen to music while you play!
2023-07-06 | Eider do O | Excellent! Without advertisings, provides the best puzzles, allowing us to review and analyze the solutions with the aid of a powerful engine. It's a good way to improve our Chess. Simple and perfect.
2022-07-22 | Gerald Thibodeau Sr | Fantastic app! Great functionality. I have it set to stop after each puzzle. Even when I get the puzzle correct, I can play from that position OR and this is BIG, I can go back and play a different move, play a game from that position and discover why a different candidate move would be wrong. For those new to problems, there is an easy mode. Another great freature is you have a setting for spaced repetition on problems you miss. That means they will appear now and then so you can learn them.
2021-07-17 | Reeta Bhatnagar | By far the best tactics app I've come accross. With sheer hardwork and concentration I have progressed to a score of 2100. Though I face an issue now. Kindly tell me a method to migrate to a new phone without loosing this score. I tried locating the system files in Android/Data folder, but was unable to locate. Kindly assist.
2021-06-19 | Mashrur Mahmud | It's simple, minimalist, and has everything a beginner may need. I've watched myself grow from a shakey 1100 to a 1700s, at present. Quick & obvious tips: if you feel like a puzzle ended too quickly, just go back and turn on analysis to see the rest. If you particularly feel like practicing a puzzle, you can play the computer from that point on. You can also revisit old levels by swiping on the analysis board.
2021-06-14 | Scott Reilly | I like this app a lot and the puzzles are challenging. My main criticism is that there isn't consistency in how the solutions are shown. Sometimes, after finding the right 1st move, you need to play the sequence until the end to progress to the next puzzle. But sometimes you only need to make the first move to progress, when it isn't clear (at least to me) how the rest of the sequence goes. It would be great if the entire sequence was shown every time. Otherwise, great app
2021-03-16 | David Beveridge | This is a great app. Really like the progress curve. So many interesting positions, and the answers are stretching my chess experience, judgement and imagination. The puzzles are not restricted to "mate in x moves" but often look for advantage, in interesting ways. Like that it evolves with you. Hadn't realised it was based on Stockfish! Bonus! Only wish I'd been taking notes from the beginning, and wish I could start the series again. Pls: Would like to be able to play them all back. Thank you
2021-01-18 | Matthew P. | Great app with no ads. I think there should be a main menu. Controls are a bit tough to understand, like viewing previous puzzles. Also is it possible to view the difficulty rating of the puzzle? How is your progress rating determined? |
