2024-11-06 | Fem | Absolutely amazing app, got me through a lot of my labour for my homebirth, alongside the tens machine. A must for those wishing to avoid medication and intervention. You can change the voices of the speakers to your preference.
2024-09-06 | Ketan Bhavan | Really good app for monitoring surges/contractions. But be cautious that over monitoring can actually lead to more anxiety and stress. We stopped using the app and actually felt calmer about the situation, but this may differ by person.
2024-05-13 | Kate Milburn | I love this app. Siobhans voice is so calming. I used the contesction timer in my previous labour and it helped a lot. Only problem is sometimes the backing music cuts out from the affirmations. Doesn't bother me when I'm just chilling in pregnancy, but during labour it would be better not to have to mess with my phone and close and reopen the app.
2023-11-22 | Rajwant Kaur | Really nice user experience. Clean interface. Intuitive and easy to use. Might only ever use this app for a couple of days but it's been worth the money. One minor gripe, in that the hand writing font is not easy for my dyslexic wife to read. Otherwise accessibility is pretty good. A nice addition might be messages for birthing partners during surges, like "hold their hand". Also triggering surges from the lock screen would be handy for saving battery while surge frequency is low.
2023-10-16 | Grace Adams | Easy to use and time contractions. Great selection of audio tracks if that's your vibe. The way the timings were counted was unclear and we ended up labouring for 2 hours longer than we needed to before calling our midwife due to how it counted the 'time between' contractions. Worth taking the time to understand the measurements before the big day!
2023-09-21 | Harriet Dodds | Really easy to use. Easy to mute/switch between/remove from playlist/pause the affirmation sound tracks. I like that you can have the counting audio on, or just use the visual of the circle expanding and shrinking on screen. Clearly demonstrates when you're within the "3 in 10 min" stage that NHS refer to, without having to look at the surge detail section - it just tells you on the main screen.
2023-09-02 | Gemma Gelsthorpe | I'm finding it really helpful to practice breathing and feel more confident knowing that I have this app ready for me when labour starts. I love the reading of the positive affirmations, too. Drawbacks: some of the affirmations don't resonate with me so I wish I could deselect those, and add more. Secondly, the affirmation notifications I get each morning seem to be a repeat of the same two, rather than cycling through all of them.
2022-04-09 | Irena Grizelj | Generally fine. A little disappointed by limited functions. You have the breath count and some guided meditations that are helpful. Not sure if contraction timing is accurate. To the app developers: please enable pause of the guided meditations with an added pause button (or that they pause when you mute). A mom might want to soak in what's being said or have to change positions, or take a moment of silence, but then come back to the meditation, rather than have it start again.
2022-03-31 | Raymond Ambrus | Its straight forward to use. However, I found the timing to be missleading! It took us a while to notice that the times between surges are inclusive of the actual surge. Which I found it Not useful. For example it was giving me 4-5 min between surges but when actually timed it separatly they were half of that....which obviously changes your view on how frequently they come on. I wouldnt use it again because of this!
2020-10-28 | S McK | Simple to use app,yet so incredibly effective. Thank you so much for designing this beautiful app.It really helped me to keep calm and focused throughout my labour. Sometimes, when I would try to count through a surge myself, I would lose it a little bit, so having the app count and the relaxing music really made all the difference. Can't rate the app highly enough. Amazing value for money. I would pay more for additional music+motivational sections. As well as a pause function. Thanks again x |
