| 2024-11-20 |  | | It used to be great, but now it's just trash. If I wanted to watch TV I'd watch TV. You can't select and watch whatever you can't anymore. It's all just scheduled programming. I will NOT be renewing my subscription if this is the way it stays. Bonus, it doesn't even work right. When I try to watch a video, the audio has an echo. Absolute garbage app now. I do not recommend it. Go support small creators on YouTube. The ads are a small price to pay. |
| 2024-07-01 |  | | A few months ago, I was really mad they seemingly dropped all the old hot rod magazines from the app so I stopped using it but never deleted it for some reason. Just opened it today on a whim to see if anything has changed. The entire app has been updated. The articles work, the videos are cool and, best of all, not only are all the old Hot Rod magazines back, they are joined by TWENTY SEVEN other magazines! There is more content here than I'll ever be able to get through and it all works! |

Now it's just a Motor trend news app. And you want us to pay for Motor trend plus and pay for discovery or max on demand to watch the shows. I will not be renewing my subscription. Good job corporate desk jockeys you killed the whole point of Motor trend plus. And tripled the price way to go. You lost another customer. |
| 2024-04-19 |  | | I had this app for quite awhile and loved it but now it's just a waste of time. Used to be able to look up all the motortrend shows whenever you wanted. Now you get a livestream of an episode that you get no choice over. I tried to just watch roadkill and it had a weird echo that was different each time I tired to watch it. After 5 or 6 tries I just gave up. After some research, I've found out Motortrend sold out to Discovery. Don't bother downloading this app, it's a waste of time! Terrible MT |
| 2024-04-10 |  | | Changed formats. Can't watch the shows I want to when I want to. Turned it into a live stream of the cable version. I will not be renewing any subscriptions with this network again. It's sad because it was an absolute go to for a long time in the car community. And being innovative with programming would help aswell, the whole channel is the same type of build with a few show exceptions. I hope faster, super street, and runs good can find a more progressive network or break into YouTube. |

I already have discovery plus and was a yearly subscriber of Motortrend. So I don't get a refund? I have to eat the loss of the rest of my subscription? Gee, thanks I guess. This new "live cast" or what ever is completely stupid, a waste of bandwidth and a design by committee whose only goal was to ruin a perfectly good platform. Thanks for nothing. |
| 2024-02-24 |  | | The content is great, but I stopped paying for the service back in November I think, because it would no longer stream on my TV. When MT+ first came out, I could watch it using my TV web browser and it rocked! Then, only the app on my phone and casting it to the TV would work. Now, all I can do is watch it on a computer or phone. Until this is fixed, I am not paying for the service. I saw a recent review from within the past month saying they still could not stream. Hopefully this gets fixed! |

I watched on YouTube before they had the app. It first had some bugs, as all first few version apps do. They got it dialed now I honestly am amazed how much content there is for just my odd tastes alone plus more. Feb. 2024, I recently got the email about the discovery plus. It's very sad, and makes it so I cannot enjoy my shows I spoke about anymore. Not too happy with it now. |
| 2023-11-01 |  | | Will most likely be uninstalling and unsubscribing. Most recent update no longer allows me to stream to any of my 3 Samsung TVs. All of which are no more than a year old. This is not the first technical issue I've had with this app. Do us all a favor and make your shows free on YouTube again. Charging for an app that has more issues than toddler learning to use a fork is ridiculous. Edit- Canceled my subscription. Fix your garbage and stop copy and pasting response to the issue. |
| 2022-04-28 |  | | You are now required to cast from your phone to the Xbox if you want to watch anything. Cancelling the subscription is turning out to be impossible as well. All of the links you're supposed to navigate through do not exist (at least for me), so now not only is the app unusable for me, they also get $50/yr from me still. I'm in the process of contacting customer support but I think we can all guess how smooth that's gonna go. |
