2024-04-25 | Randy Clark | Excellent interface, very easy to play, and very true to the original boardgame it's recreating. It's multiplatform too, so you can play with friends even if they have an iPhone.
2023-07-18 | Josh Jahncke | I Iove the game and single player is great. However, I may be missing something, but there seems to be no way to receive notifications when it's your turn in an online game. I find this extremely frustrating.
2023-02-18 | Stephen Cook | Excellent implementation of my favourite game, but needs some bug fixes. Sometimes when playing with my friend we both get repeatedly kicked out of the entire app. I got to an unplayable state when ended up with many tiles (18 across construction zones) and pressing end turn with new tiles just crashed each time until I abandoned. There are some moves which cannot be completed asynchronously which could be (some shipping I believe). Would love to see these patched - can't wait for ambition!
2022-10-06 | Zach Rounds | Very awesome digital version of this game! Couple issues, when "opponent times out", I can no longer delete that game... Also, a chat feature would be nice! Either way, love playing!
2022-07-03 | Emilio Collavino | Excellent adaptation! Great UI, dice rolling animations and sfx. Tutorial is well done although some concepts become more clear after some games. AI is superb (Keldon of course) so don't expect to take on Hard right from the start: it'll crush you if not familiar with the game. Online is active and you can easily find players (async & live). Notifications work on mobile so you won't lose track of your games. I have big hopes for Ambition and Promo Pack once TGG has finished with Dominion
2022-05-13 | David Cates | Drains battery in the background! This game is actually very well done, an excellent implementation of the boardgame. But I am giving it a 1 star review for developer visibility. The app has begun draining excessive amounts of power while in standby, not being used. This morning around 7am I checked my online game and took 1 turn, then went on with my day. Over the next 4 hours the app drained 37% of my battery while not being used.
2021-08-26 | Silver Louise | This is a lighter game than its sibling Race for the Galaxy (which also has a great app), so for me it works better as a phone game to play casually. This has Keldon AI, so the computer opponents are pretty good. The implementation is slick and smooth. The only things I'd like see is a few more "undo" options, and a nice extra would be all the detailed win records the Race app has to look over past games and see super detailed progress.
2021-06-29 | Roman | Consistantly crashes when a tile is played which removes a die to exchange with another die but no progress is lost. That's the only time it crashes but it happens every time. Also, sometimes it doesn't correctly notify that it's your turn in online games so you have to visit each one and check. No chat or block functions available which would be nice. Still, an excellent game I love to play for a few hours each week.
2021-06-15 | Garett Kajiwara | Great app. Very clean and faithful copy of the board game. It is easy to use and let's you get into the game quickly. I haven't tried the online multiplayer yet, but hope to convince some friends to purchase the app. I only wish the pass and play was more obvious (it's a easy to miss tab above the easy/medium/hard selection when adding a new player). App tried on Sony Xperia XZ1 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A.
2021-04-04 | Dominic Shzl | Zero bugs here. I don't consider crashing a bug... My only complaint is that Phases aren't simultaneous with other players - only the Explore Phase.? Also, buying dice back isn't simultaneous. Like, why? Why can't we all Develop at the same time, Settle at the same time, Produce at the same time, you get the picture. Always have to "Waiting on other players". In the physical game, all Phases are simultaneous. We all buy dice back at the same time. No waiting. |
