2024-06-05 | FJ Thomas | Very disappointed. After playing 39 of the developer's other, obviously British-leaning, crossword puzzles, I was excited to read they had a US version. I can honestly say they put far less effort into it. "US" game does not tell how many words are in an answer, other version does. There are odd clues/answers. E.g., I have never seen "cafeteria food" defined as "glop;" there are a few questionable examples just in the first puzzle but not enough characters allowed by Google to list.
2023-07-09 | Linda Sue | I am enjoying the challenges in the puzzles and learning as I go. In my opinion, sometimes the clues are quite a stretch for the answers, but it helps to think outside the box. Great brain exercises.
2023-06-24 | Tom Dison | Good game, only real flaw is the constantly asking you to buy after you already have. Same with the U.K. version - after a while they lose contact with Google Play and ask you to buy. Going to main screen and going back to current game gets rid of it. Minor annoyance.
2022-03-08 | Stephen Rebbe | THE best crossword app. Period. Update 3-8-22: Still the best! I've finished every puzzle, then cleared and started over. There are enough that the first ones done are forgotten.
2022-01-26 | Emily Cantrell | Good clean fun! Some more challenging than others. Dig the variety and the fact that clues aren't repetitive throughout. Well done!
2021-12-31 | Solitaire Burton | Just plain crossword which is what I wanted. The US puzzles are very slightly different from UK, but not too different and still very doable. Didn't realise there was even a difference between UK and US crosswords. Being a US crossword at least you know the spelling is probably different. And the Teazle format is great.
2021-10-21 | Mike Cohen | I completed several puzzles even though the interface is quite clunky. But I thought this was supposed to be a puzzle using American terminology. Most of the words are not even words that Americans use. Almost everything is either British or Australian. For example a Ute is an Australian term for a car/pickup hybrid. It is not a term that Americans use at all.
2021-08-02 | Peggy Ayers | Would like to have the Red blocks appear when a mistake is made, as in the UK version. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the app. Not too easy; not too hard.
2021-02-12 | Mary Beth Whelan | Like the way it's both challenging and easy. Don't like the way you have to spend money to get more puzzles.
2021-01-17 | Emma | Challenging but you're not going to get stuck forever. Great time killer. It sucks that there's only five or six puzzles unlocked per pack but gotta make that money somewhere. No ads. Altogether a satisfying game. |
