2024-10-15 | Melanie | This app no longer works. For months I've been unable to play any films. I contacted TCM for help. I received a request for certain details, which I provided. They replied with basic instructions for any issues with the app. I followed them repeatedly to no avail. I reached out to them again and all I received was the standard auto reply, suggesting I check their help center, which I already told them I had done. I reached out yet again. Several days now and not a word from them. I'm disgusted! | |
2022-12-10 | Angelique Moses | After years of no issues, now kaput. Also most movies listed shows streaming not allowed. Cannot log in, won't accept new password when I can get that far, or just get an error message for the app itself. Have reinstalled app & restarted phone numerous times. All to no avail. AT&T (mobile)/DirectTV (formerly AT&T TV service) tells me it's not their issue, but with TCM's app. Hoping to hear from tech support eventually. But from comments I've read, highly doubtful. What a shame. | |

No play button on some, also, must keep logging in only to get error msg or told I don't have a subscription thru xfinity, which I'm paying for. Cable company verified no problem. Been emailing w/TCM developer but never got reply after I answered all their questions & gave examples b4 Thanksgiving. Sure wish I could resolve this issue!!! | |

No need for some of the more recent content mixed with the real classics...and the new unbearable super-slow-motion left-to-right and back again pan during the host intros...you have my complete attention, you don't need focus group test cinematographic tricks to keep it...Also not thrilled with no subscription without an additional account through a third party carrier...I will pay for the privilege of having TCM all by itself, so will everyone else. | |
2022-01-04 | steven crone | The app requires you sign in with your cable provider. For some reason, it doesn't work with DirectTV. I used to be able to just hit "play" and see movies; no more! I cannot use your app anymore because of this rediculous requirement. I'll be Uninstalling and looking for another classic movie source. Very disappointed in this unnecessary change. 2021-06-24 | L.R. Wilson | The app doesn't have a search function but other than that it works flawlessly on my samsung android phone. No buffering issues, both east and west coast feeds. Loads quickly. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews for this app. I've had it for quite sometime and although they don't have every movie in thire library there is more than enough to kerp you entertained with an outstanding collection of classic films. You can even create a favorites list. I'd rate it 10 stsrs if possible | |
2021-06-14 | A Google user | That app miraculously works again! My version is the last version from May 2nd, not the current one which is May 4th. I don't have this app on auto update since it's been having issues. It hadn't worked for many, many months. So glad it's back working again! My Internet has been down for about a week, and being able to use this app on my phone has been a pleasure. I dare not update this app, at least not until my Internet is working giving my other options to watch. | |
2021-01-23 | Scot | You TRY to open the app, and you wait. After several minutes (could be 10, could be 20) it may open. Or it may force you to login again. Then it will s l o w l y open a provider page, where you have to provide your cable information AGAIN. If it allows you in. The home page opens as dreadfully slowly as all the previous steps you've taken to get this far. When you finally select a movie, it buffers and buffers and buffers. I think once you go through all this it will play a movie. | |
2020-11-12 | Hap Yak | This update removed the Collections category from the menu, so I'm now forced to seek the films I missed individually. I missed a whole night of Women Make Film while travelling, and the Collections option would've made catching up so easy! Also, for some reason, few of the films from that night are still available, even though ones shown the week before are. Don't even get me started on what TCM has done to their web site - no more reminders of next showings, & MANY more issues. Very sad.... | |
2019-10-21 | A Google user | Crashes a lot. Often won't let me watch anything but trailers and movie clips. When it works, I love it! But, it seems like once a month, always starting on the weekends, it goes poof! Constant error/retry message. This app has gotten worse and there is no way to contact Turner classic movies to let them know there are issues. |
